The GoodThere were many compliments for this hotel and they included several aspects of the guest experience.
Many guests agreed that their rooms were clean and one guest described his room as "immaculate". Several guests found their rooms to be spacious, while a few other guests mentioned that their beds and pillows were comfortable. A couple of reviewers also mentioned that their rooms were quiet. Guests who stayed in rooms on the higher floors also described having pleasant views of the city skyline and the Ottawa River.
The staff were complimented by many guests for being helpful and pleasant. One couple said that "the service we were offered was amazing from beginning to end".
Several guests mentioned finding the location of this property convenient for accessing the Parliament buildings on-foot. The on-site restaurant was also frequently complimented for the quality of food served.
The flat screen televisions, reliable Internet service, on-site Starbucks, and well equipped fitness facility were mentioned by some guests as value added features. The value offered at this hotel was cited by several reviewers as a reason to return to the property and recommend the hotel to others.
The Bad
There were very few common complaints found among reviews used for this analysis. However, several guests expressed concern about the parking facility. A few guests described the parking garage as dark, cramped, and dirty. A couple of other reviewers found the layout confusing and several guests thought that the parking fees ($22 per day for self-parking) were expensive.
A few guests, who did not stay in concierge rooms, expressed frustration about the cost of wireless Internet access ($10.50 per 24 hours).
Some guests thought the hotel was beginning to show its age and was in need of cosmetic upgrades. A few reviewers specifically mentioned that the carpeting looked worn and should be replaced.
