"I love the location of the hotel its downtown in the heart of Ottawa, walking distant to all the local restaurants or bars. The room was great it come with a little kitchenette. The only bad part of my stay was the room services were way too early to clean the rooms around 9:30am still sleeping! Overall the hotel service was Good."

"Super clean fabulous suite with a beautiful view of Ottawa."
"Everything we experienced at this hotel was great including the fabulous view of Ottawa. Our suite was beautifully decorated, organized and super clean. It was so nice I didn't want to leave. The staff were great and informative when asked a question and check-in /check-out was fast. Thanks for making our stay so pleasurable. I will definately book this location again."

"From a Parapelgic's perspective this hotel is awesome!!!!!!!"
"We were so impressed with the quality, cleanliness, customer service and all the amenities! We didn't run in to one staff memeber of the hotel that didn't place us as their own priority! They were all so helpful and even the maintenance people were so curtious and helpful. The only draw-back for us was the handicapped shower in our room. My husband didn't feel he could use and so I tried from his perspective. In our case his paralysis makes for using it, too difficult. Not the fault of the hotel. We Were SOOOOOO impressed and appreciative of everything. We ran in to probelms due to his handicapped issues which caused us to be checking out well over an hour to two over the regular check-out time. When I ran in to the complications I phoned down to explain and they were so wonderful and told us not to worry about the time for check-out. On behalf of my husband and myself thank-you for being so kind and understanding. We would highly recommend this hotel to others. Especially ones in our possition. The handicapped parking by the accessible elevator was tremendously advantageous and helpful for us. Thanks again!!!!"

"Everything about this hotel was excellent - right from check in until check out. Staff were very knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions and help any way they could. We were in Ottawa to see our daughter who is a member of the Ceremonial Guard. The gal at the front desk advised us of a short cut to get to Parliament Hill, and not only answered my questions, but assured me I was not interrupting her duties, and answered each question with more than just a yes or no. Wish I could remember her name, but she was on duty at 4:00 - 4:30 when we checked in. She also added a note to our file as I was concerned that we would get back to the hotel a little late after watching our daughter participate in the changing of the guards. The hotel is in an excellent location, as we were able to see our daughter's bus arrive at the guard's staging area. Hotel was very clean, and every staff member was friendly, helpful, and even suggested a few attractions we should check out after the presentation of Fortisimo Saturday night. We do plan to return to Ottawa before she finishes up with the Ceremonial Guard for the summer, and as she will be a member of the guard for the next 4 years, the Holiday Inn is the ONLY hotel we will reserve a room from. Thank you so much for adding to the enjoyment of our weekend."

"Our room was decorated with good taste and well looked after. At the 11th floor, the view was great (parliament side). Lane's restaurant at the desk level was very decent, and we enjoyed the breakfast service at our room. Our request for a room far from the elevators was kindly taken into account, as also that of checking in a little earlier (we had a wedding downtown at 4pm). The bathroom was rather small (we had a standard room with a queen size bed), and the tub was too small to really take a bath (even for a 5' tall person). There was also a rather bad contingency: we arrived at the beginning of the Blue Fest, so that it was absolutely impossible to have quietness into our room from 11am till 11pm, for the two days we were there!! Not being aware of the fact that the hotel was a direct neighbour of the event, and having specifically asked for (and even insisted on) having a quiet room, we were surprised and very disappointed that the personnel of the hotel didn't inform us of this situation when we booked the room."

"I stayed here last year as well and that's why I returned to it again this year. This year, however, it had been renovated and it was more lovely than in 2003. What a find!!!"
