The GoodThe value offered and location were the most complimented aspects of this hotel.
Many guests found the room rates to be reasonable for the amenities and services offered by this property. One guest, who seemed familiar with the Ottawa area, said she was pleasantly surprised to learn that the price of this hotel was significantly less than nearby competitors. Many reviewers agreed that this hotel was within walking distance of most downtown attractions.
Many guests found their rooms to be clean and spacious. Reviewers also praised the in-room kitchens for having full-sized appliances, including a dishwasher. Several guests mentioned finding the kitchen a value added feature because it allowed them to cook for their families instead of eating at a restaurant every night.
The staff at this property was described as friendly and helpful. One guest said that the staff were knowledgeable of the city and gave her directions that included short-cuts for walking to various attractions.

The Bad
Of the reviews used for this analysis, there were few guests who described negative experiences. However, some guests complained about musty odours in their room. A couple of guests mentioned that their bathrooms seemed damp and one guest found mouldy bathroom tiles.
A few reviewers suggested that the hotel needed to update the decor and furnishings throughout the property. A few guests described the appearance of the hotel as dated, while one reviewer said, "the furniture was old and looked second hand". A couple of guests also indicated that the carpet seemed dirty.
The outdoor parking lot caused some frustration for a few guests. One guest was unhappy that the hotel was slow to remove snow that had accumulated over night. A couple of other reviewers found the parking facility too small and the fees too expensive.
