"If I had known that the room has a full kitchen we would have brought food from home to cook the morning after the run. It was perfect for the location to the run right behind the city hall in Ottawa. Just perfect."

"Very nice location"
"We rented a room with a Queen bed and it was more a double bed; so our sleep was not the best because of the size of the bed. I would strongly suggest the King size rather than the supposedly Queen size. The Italian restaurant across from the hotel is to died for!!"

"needed some work"
"The room was sufficient for what I was needing. Close to restaurants.
The closet doors were not well attached and actually would have been dangerous if we had tried to use those closets.

"great location"
"We got a terrific deal. The location was perfect. The suite was way beyond what we expected. However, there was a constant loud hum from a motor which made the overall experience unpleasant. Also, it seems a bit cheap of a hotel of this quality to charge a fee for internet service."

"Cool stay in Ottawa."
"The hotel would have got a Very Good rating but we had an issue with the air conditioning, it was too cold and we could not adjust the temperature. Even maintenance stated as we stayed in a room ending in 01 we were right beside the air vent that cools the building. The other issue the hotel closed the restaurant on Canada Day, I thought that was odd but the room was nice, clean and we liked having a kitchen in the room."

"Great place to stay in Ottowa"
"GOOD: Excellent location. Everything is in walking distance. Hotel staff extremely helpful. Loved the kitchen and size of the room.
CAN IMPROVE: Softer bedding. Room temperature controller did not work--room was a bit cold."

"Neat location, about 400 metres from the Rideau Canal / World's Longest Skating Rink. Underground parking for a reasonable fee. Nice flat screen TV and other perks in my suite. Helpful staff. I didn't take advantage of the sauna or gym, so I'll leave that for another reviewer."

"The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room, or should I say suite, was spacious and very well equipped. The service was friendly, fast, and went the extra mile. I needed e.g. some print-outs and they told me to send the files per email and they would print them out for free - and they did within minutes! The location is very central, but on a quiet street. I plan to come again and have already recommended it to my colleagues in Toronto."

"I asked about parking and i was told that it is limited. i was never informed that there is a $10/day fee. the bathroom door was rotting from the inside...looks like water damaged and it was really an eye sore and unsanitary-looking. otherwise everything else is fine and the cleaning ladies were really excellent."

"We were so happy to have the kitchen with everything we needed right down to wine glasses, lots of cuboard space so when the groceries came in they were all neatly stored. The closet space was marvelous, even the suitcases could be stowed out of sight. It really felt like our home away from home. It's in such a great area, minutes from Parliament Hill, the canal path, the market. We came to Ottawa to ride our bikes and can't wait to come back, didn't need to use the car at all. We definitly will be coming back to stay at Embassy Hotel and Suites."

"The hotel is definitely "older", and shows it's age. The rooms were very clean and big. Nice kitchen if you wanted to eat in. We were in Ottawa to walk and explore the city. The Embassy Suites Hotel was in a perfect location for that!Very convenient for walks to the Parliment buildings, the market, bridge to Quebec, and lots of restaurants on Elgin Street. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who isn't fussy about being pampered at their hotel, but wants a clean, comfortable, room and bed for the duration of their stay."

"Our room on the top floor (11th) was very noisy from machinery on the roof and disturbed my wife's sleep significantly. The machinery seemed to stop and start. This was not noticeable on the lower floors where my sister-in-law was."

"The room is clean and convenience. I enjoy it and prepare to recommend to all my friend except the thing happened after checking out.
I forgot my kettle in room using for baby's formular. I drived back at 3:30pm, June 5the at Sunday afternoon. I ask the gentleman at front desk to get some hot water for baby, and he told me he only have tub water. Becuase I rushed to go, I haven't catched the mean of that and just follow his direction, but I couldn't find anywhere seems reasonable.
I was back to front desk and double check with that gentleman, he told me go to washroom and get the water from there!
This guy make me so upset and break all my excellent memory in that hotel!. He clear understand what's the purpose of the hot water, it is for baby's food. It will use as baby food and he still guide me to the washroom!
I will never suggest any of my friend go to this hotel. The reason being, if they even don't care baby's health, who would feel safe to use this towel, washroom and bed?!"
