This hotel is located in Ottawa's west end, 2 minutes from the Trans-Canada Hwy (417), giving it good access to various destinations including the Canadian Tire Centre, Bell Sensplex and downtown. It offers a budget stay with a very well liked on-site restaurant.more
All of the 129 smoke-free rooms at this hotel have free Wi-Fi, free local calls, cable TV with pay-per-view movies, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, a desk, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer and climate control. Rooms are furnished with 1 or 2 queen beds or 1 king bed. Room extras include a sofabed, a separate bedroom, a microwave, a mini-kitchen (mini-fridge, microwave, sink) and a double jacuzzi. Accessible rooms are also available.
Free parking is available on site for cars, buses and trucks. Pets under 60 lbs are allowed in standard rooms only on the main level for a cost of $20 per night.
A free breakfast is served from 6:30 am to 10 am and offers make-your-own waffles and hard-boiled eggs as well as other continental breakfast choices.

Many also enjoyed the service of the staff who guests reported as pleasant, accommodating and very friendly. One guest mentioned that the staff were able to provide a map of local eateries and another found the breakfast server to be very attentive in refilling items and cleaning the area.
Breakfast had many fresh choices in a clean space. One guest wrote, "Staff were excellent: there was a lot of people during the continental breakfast, they just kept feeding us food and coffee, with a smile. Something that is hard to find."
This was a clean, quiet and safe part of town. Guests used this hotel to access the Canadian Tire Centre, Ottawa's high tech area, Nepean destinations, as well as downtown attractions, restaurants and shopping. Close access to Hwy 417 allowed some guests to find their way efficiently to various parts of the city.

Unstable Wi-Fi was an issue for several guests who conveyed that it was hit and miss (sometimes excellent and sometimes slow). Some thought it got slower when the hotel filled up or more people were using it in the evenings.
The hotel 'could use a facelift' as one guest put it recently, and guests found issues with maintenance, things breaking down and needing repair and too few electrical outlets in the room.
Noise was an issue for some guests, who complained about noisy guests in the hallways and noise from the hotel's exterior renovations.
While many guests appreciated the free breakfast, several also complained that it was very basic and lacked variety.
