The GoodThe proximity of this hotel to downtown area attractions was the most complimented aspect of this property, among reviews used for this analysis. Several guests described the location as "ideal" and many reviewers mentioned that they did not need to use their vehicle for the duration of their stay.
A few reviewers stated that they made use of amenities within a block of the hotel, including restaurants, a liquor store, and a supermarket. A couple of guests also noted that the hotel was on a public transit route.
The rooms at this property were often praised for being spacious, clean, and quiet. Several guests also noted that their beds and pillows were comfortable.

The Bad
While many guests seemed to enjoy their stay at this hotel, there were several reviewers who indicated that the hotel was in need of upgrades.
One guest described the overall appearance of the hotel as "shabby". Guests described old furniture, worn carpeting and window coverings, dim lighting, and outdated wallpaper and art work. A couple of guests also expressed frustration with the in-room heating, as they were not able to achieve a warm in-room temperature.
A few reviewers expressed concern about the neighbourhood immediately surrounding the hotel. A couple of guests mentioned that they felt unsafe when they were approached by pan-handlers. One reviewer said that she was unhappy to notice a homeless shelter around the corner from the hotel.
Other negatives mentioned by reviewers included dated equipment in the fitness facility, inconsistent housekeeping service during a multi-night stay, and a lack of in-room coffee makers.
