"The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff at the hotel were amazing. Although the hotel is located in a busy area, and the night traffic is a little frightning, the stay at the hotel was great. It was even much quieter than we expected. But the staff at the hotel are the ones who make the stay here wonderful!"

"Very good value for money; smaller and older of course but renovated and updated. Given its downtown location just a couple of city blocks away from the Byward Market and about 5-6 blocks from the canal, it was very good indeed. The modern, very quiet refrigerator in room was a welcome touch."

"The fire alarm went off at 3 am the first night and at 11 pm the second night...ugh! There were no hand towels, just bath towels. The desk person could not answer any questions, stating he was just filling in. The decor was just awful!"

"Although maintenance wasn't on hand at midnight when I lost something down the bathroom sink drain (really, the drain should have been fitted with a cross-piece inside it to stop things from falling in), they were there first thing in the morning and successfully retrieved the object. Very pleasant, too. Front desk people were courteous and efficient at both check-in and check-out times. If my stay wasn't that great, it was due to BEGGARS (and bad weather). I have NEVER seen beggars swarming people like that in Ottawa before. If the hotel has a say in the Downtown Business Development Association, they might want to relate that I, for one, won't be back to Ottawa after being accosted by beggars on every corner, all day long."
