Many guests described the hotel as being within easy walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. One reviewer called the location "perfect", while another guest described the hotel as being situated in "the most happening area in Ottawa. You're literally steps away from restaurants."
The rooms were frequently described as clean and comfortable by guests. A few reviewers also specifically complimented the housekeeping staff for being thorough and efficient.

The Bad
There were several complaints about the customer service at this property and they were mostly directed at the reservations staff and front desk agents.
A few guests described the front desk staff as "rude", and one guest characterized the service as "appalling". One reviewer described a frustrating experience she had with the hotel over-booking her room. She stated that she called the hotel to advise the staff that she would be arriving late in the evening and asked the front desk agent to hold her reservation. When the guest arrived, her room was not available and she was left to find accommodations at a competitor. A couple of other reviewers described a similar experience with over-booking and their room not being available upon arrival.
Several guests found the hallways and carpeting to be slightly dated and in need of upgrades. While a couple of other guests thought the bathroom plumbing was in need of repairs, as they had concerns with water draining properly from their tubs.
Some guests, who indicated that their rooms were located on one of the first three floors of the hotel, complained about being disturbed in their rooms by street noise.
