The Bad
Although the hotel made the grade for most, it still collected a fair number of complaints from its guests in recent reviews read for this report.

The hotel, although recently renovated, still suffered from some maintenance issues that tell of the property's age. Guests reported a variety of issues including: rooms were too hot and the temperature was not controllable by the in-room temperature controls, there were electrical outlets that did not work, a TV that went off and then on by itself, brown stains on tub and low shower pressure.

Sometimes guests complained of dated rooms and amenities and cleaning inconsistencies. Complaints included: old, worn and dirty furniture, hard mattresses, burned out light bulbs, filthy carpets, dark and dingy room, hairs in tub, bathroom not clean, cigarette and 'pot' smells.

Noise was an issue for more than one guest and the sources were: HVAC rattled, hockey teams, nearby train traffic, and highway traffic.

Occasionally guests were disappointed with the quality of the free breakfast food--guests called the eggs (powdered) and the sausages (pre-cooked) and some guests felt the hotel was overpriced for the value.

Sometimes guests called the staff rude, exposed incompetency and said the front desk was not always manned.
