"Barrie Flea Market"
"I use this motel for the event of the Barrie Flea Market. This is not my first stay at this motel. There have been several times and each time I was satisfied with the service."

"Sorry - Not good!"
"I did not go there thinking it was going to be fabulous - I was looking for something cheap and close to Casino . . .But it was really bad. Dirty, smelly, uncomfortable bed, crappy pillows and bedding. Nothing left at continental breakfast (only 1/2 way through) and cold coffee. Staff was pleasant, but that was about the only decent thing about the place."

"The location was great near restaurants. The selection for Continental Breakfast could be much better. 3 rooms down they had a party all night till 5:45 AM. The staff could have told them to keep the music and rowdiness down. The rooms where comfortable . I would stay again at this hotel."

"Not Satisfied with this hotel"
"The non-smoking floor smelled like cigarette smoke as did the bedding. There was no hair dryer and the towels were too thin. One pillow case was yellow even though that was not its' colour. A definite re=do of this property is needed."

"Good value makes up for poor pillows."
"The mattress and pillows are getting old (the fibrefill not very fluffy). The website states check-in is 3:00pm but when we arrived we were told it is 4:00pm. The room price and proximity to food and shopping makes this hotel a good choice. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful."

"I booked online for a room with a King Size bed and a pull out couch. What I got was a small room with a King size bed. They "claimed" because I booked online, it wasn't their issue. I had my neice, my mother, my step-dad, and my one year old with me. They also claimed that I had put 2 adults for the room and that's the reason they had put me in that particular room. Regardless of what the computer said, I feel that if you book a king size bed and a pull out couch - you should get a king size bed and a pull out couch! My mother did rent the only room available in the place but it was only available for one night and we were staying for 2! The room she got that night . . . had a king size bed and a pull out couch!"

"we needed a hotel room that we could pull up to with our car to unload or cooler into the fridge overnight. In the morning, we leave early for a fly in fishing trip. The coffee pot is on and there are always really good fresh donuts..as well as other healthy choices. There is plenty of hot water, and the room is always clean, fresh and quiet...the towels are a bit limp..but clean..We had asked for a non smoking room, but we didn't get it...it is more than we need though...."

"We liked our room and the desk clerk remembered in our phone confermation that I would like two queen size beds if possible and after our call ended another room became availible with two queen size beds and she remembered that is what I wanted so she kept them for me. The location was easy to find. I didn't know there was a place to have breakfast on the main floor, I looked in the information in our room and there was no mention of it."

"A friendly and comfortable hotel"
"The hotel had a very friendly atmosphere specially the breakfast room which was airy, bright and intimate. I was also very pleasantly surprised to find a mini fridge and a microwave. As a diabetic, these items are important to me for storing medication and special food."

"the stafff was freindly and curtious .the room was fine but the sheets and towels were grey in color and mattress was very much stained on each side...the continental breakfast was something to be desired ,there was not very much to look at other than donuts and muffins .abowl of cereal would have been nice and no decalf coffee,we ended up going next door for a breakfast...there are travellers with special diets that would have expected a little more as we are travellers and have stayed at many hotels and had continental breakfasts .i would rate econ-lodge with a zero..."

"I reserved a smoking room, but none were available..I think they are "doing away" with all smoking rooms...but the clerk was very helpful and gave us a room with an outside entrance to accommodate our smoker! Other than being cold..this worked out well! We would definitely stay again...in fact, we have booked another room in June."

"The hotel hallway and the room itself had a very stale and pungent odor, which made it quite unappealing. Also, I noticed some really strange looking insects crawling around in the room. It was pretty gross. The television looked like it was purchased at a garage sale."

"My reservation had a room which was complete with a microwave and fridge...when we checked into the room it was without those two items. Although we managed fine without them, those ammenties would have been nice to have when we brought items to use them."

"More comprehensive information about the shuttle bus would have been benefical. if I hadn't seen a small flyer, I wouldn't have know a shuttle would be going to the casino i.e. length of time it would take to get to the casino, pick up area and bus"

"We stayed at your hotel last August when we were in Orillia for a concert at the casino. It was strictly a random choice as we did not know the area. We were in Orillia again on Saturday for a concert at the casino and this time you were the hotel of choice. We were pleasantly surprised when upon arrival we were offered an upgrade at no cost. We were also pleased to be told of the continental breakfast that we were not told about in August. We will definitely stay at your hotel the next time we are in Orillia."

"Not every room has the same ammenities. Some rooms have coffee makers, microwaves or fridges but yet others have none of them. Smoking rooms and non-smoking rooms are alternating down the upstairs hallway, so you can still smell the smoke even if you are in a non-smoking room."

"What we like most about Econolodge is the discount rate for visitors over 50, the king size bed, the little fridge, the microwave and the coffee maker. (They don't have fridges, microwaves or coffee makers at the Casinorama Hotel.)"

"We had a non-smoking rooms with 2 queen beds. The desk clerk was very friendly and efficient upon check-in. Had a comfortable night's sleep. Bathroom was clean and the shower had great water pressure, which made showering enjoyable. The room had very basic amenities, which we expected at this price point. One negative to mention---the water was undrinkable---we had to go out and purchase bottled water because of the odour and flavour of the hotel's water. It was nice to have the services of a free shuttle to the nearby casino---very convenient."

"I had a very basic, basic room but it was very clean and exclusively non-smoking. Nevertheless, as a business woman traveller, I expect nowadays to have an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, coffee pot and an alarm/radio. A full mirror and a magnifying mirror in the bathroom would also be appreciated. The only necessities in the bathroom consisted of soap and shampoo, period. To access the use of long distance calls, the phone lines had to be unlocked (??) by the front office. The Internet is available but only by modem; since Internet providers are mostly in major cities like Toronto, the use of the modem would have meant a long distance call. There is no meeting room. The breakfast on the first morning was orange juice, coffee and only glazed donuts. This is not what I consider being a continental breakfast !! The second and third morning, though, they added muffins. The staff, however, was very, very pleasant and helpful as they found an iron and ironing board and answered all questions politely. They all had a smiling disposition, which is always welcomed."
