Overview
The Days Inn in Orillia is located near the Orillia Opera House and close to the Leacock Museum. With 78 guest rooms, this hotel features an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub, as well as a workout facility. The business centre is available to guests and the hotel has meeting and conference rooms on site. 

The hotel offers a few complimentary services, such as breakfast, morning newspapers and on-site parking. The front desk has a safe deposit box and there is a gift shop and a newsstand located on the premise. 

Each hotel room at the Days Inn Orillia includes a microwave oven and a mini-refrigerator. Guests also receive complimentary Internet access and free local calls. Guest rooms are equipped with cable television and guests can order movies from their televisions. Other in-room amenities include a coffee and tea maker, as well as a hair dryer.
The Good
Guests liked being close to the Casino Rama. Some guests walked to the casino (5 minutes), whereas others took advantage of the hotel's shuttle service. 

The hotel's beds were often mentioned in guest reviews. Guests praised the hotel for providing soft pillows and a few guests described the pillows as "wonderful" and "fluffy." One guest reviewer said that the pillows were "the most comfortable" he had ever slept on. 

The hotel serves a breakfast buffet and several guests spoke highly of the selection. Some guests liked that they were able to make their own waffles and steam hard boiled eggs. The breakfast buffet is included in the price of the room, which was appreciated by many guests. 

The hotel's staff were complimented in numerous reviews and some guests thought that the staff were helpful, courteous, friendly and attentive. Several guests felt that the hotel rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and a few guests complimented the hotel for keeping the building and outside grounds attractive and well-maintained. 

The Bad
Some guest reviewers expressed concerns over thin walls within the hotel. One guest asked the hotel to change his room due to loud noise from the elevator and ice machine. The hotel happily assigned a new guest room. There were also complaints of loud televisions, radios and chatter from adjoining guest rooms. 

A handful of guests at the Days Inn Orillia detected smoke in their guest rooms and in some areas throughout the hotel. In addition, a few guests complained of a stale odour upon entering their guest rooms.

"Misleading room specs"
"When I booked my room, I was under the impression it has 2 rooms with a King bed and a Queen Bed, that is what it said. When I arrived, it was a King bed in one room and a pull out sofa bed (not a queen bed) in the lounge area, however staff tried to make us comfortable, they were very kind."

"We enjoyed our stay, if it was only for one night. The room we had had two queen beds, a microwave and a bar fridge. (Apparently all rooms come with fridge and microwave, also ironing board, iron and hair dryer). The room was large and we had no complaints about that. The only thing the Hotel lacks is a restaurant. I found the bed a bit on the firm side but my husband thought it was OK. I cannot comment enough about how clean the hotel was, the halls, the room, the lobby. Would we stay there again, most definitely. It is quite convenient being across the road from Casino Rama. The fireplace in the lobby is a very nice touch. We did not try the continental breakfast offered in the lobby in the morning but we heard from other customers it was quite good!"

"The hotel was near the Casino, and it's restaurants,on the outskirts of Orilla. I stayed there becasue they have a pool. the rooms are very clean, but most of all, because the staff do whatever they can to help you with whatever you are looking for. The free conteniental breakfast is good too."

"I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED ABOUT THE POOL NOT BEING OPEN. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT NOON IT WAS CLOSED BECAUSE OF CHEMICALS IN THE POOL. I UNDERSTOOD AND ASKED WHEN IT WILL BE OPEN. THE RECEPTIONIST SAID IT WOULD BE OPEN IN A FEW HOURS. WE WAITED TILL 8 O CLOCK THAT EVENING AND IT STILL WAS NOT OPEN. THEY SAID NOT TILL THE NEXT MORNING WHICH WAS TO OPEN AT 8 AM. IT WAS 830 AND STILL NOT OPENED, WE WERE VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS."

"We weren't in our room more than 1/2 an hour when front desk called to see if we had settled in okay and if there was anything that we were disappointed in our needed anything. The complimentary breakfast was the best one we've ever had at any hotels we have stayed at. Very clean and very quiet hotel. Would not hesitate staying at this hotel again."

"I think an effort should be made to make the rooms more conducive for sleeping.There was way too much light seeping in fcrom the hallway outside my room and also from the lights outside the building shining into my room. Needless, to say my room wasn't dark enough to make my sleep habits better."

"My only complaint was that the pillows were hard and uncomfortable for my liking. Pack your own pillow if you can. The rooms were clean and quiet. For a small hotel, the fitness center is well-equipped with an excellent treadmill, bike, stepper and universal. The pool and hottub looked nice. The continental breakfast of cereals, breads, fruit/juices, coffee closes at 10:00 a.m. sharp. This hotel is literally right across the road from Casino Rama."

"Would recommend only if utilizing the casino. Otherwise not convienent to core of Orillia. Would be helpful also if the linens fit the bed. The staff was more than helpful in trying to fix but fell short on the bedding department."
