The GoodGuests that stayed at the Monte Carlo Inn Oakville Suites were generally happy with the hotel although there were some concerns. The guests that enjoyed their stay often expressed their approval of their room rates, the hotel staff, and the guest rooms.
Many guests indicated that they found the hotel's prices reasonable. One guest went so far as to say that he found the hotel "amazingly affordable" while another guest called the property the "best bang for your buck." Guests that were less excited but still satisfied with the value they received often mentioned that room rates included free Internet, free parking, and free breakfast (and the breakfast was often complimented).
There was a little bit of balance of opinion regarding the hotel staff at this property. However far more guests said good things about the staff as opposed to negative criticisms. One guest found the staff "super nice" while most guests simply called employees "friendly" and/ or "helpful."
Guests were typically impressed with their rooms although there was some balance on this perspective as well. Guests that liked their rooms said that they were clean and some found them spacious. Multiple guests also seemed impressed with their flat screen televisions.
The Bad
Guests that did not like this hotel often had experiences that diverged from the majority regarding their rooms, the staff, and the breakfast.
The guests that were unhappy with their rooms often mentioned a "musty" smell while some guests mentioned some kind of dampness. Often these complaints were associated to the rooms in the hotel's basement, an area some guests seemed to be warning against staying in.
Despite the positive reviews, the staff at the hotel did receive some scornful comments. Multiple guests claimed that they were served by unfriendly hotel employees, with one guest saying that a staff member was "quite rude." This hotel did not seem to be providing service that was consistently commendable.
Guests that were unhappy with the breakfast often indicated that it ended too early or that there was not enough selection. One guest claimed that the juice was watered down.
Occasionally a guest was disappointed that the hotel did not have a pool.

"We stayed for two nights, and the location at the junction of the QEW and Trafalger made it very convenient for getting around the area. It was also adjacent to all the shopping you might want.
It was a reasoably priced hotel with all the amenities, clean room, friendly desk staff. No complaints at all."

"Convenient location, good price and adequate facility for overnight stay.
Pleasant efficient staff.
Small frige and heater somewhat noisy.
Shower head excessive pressure and water output, shower and other bathroom fixtures should be changed to low flow models to conserve water use.
Lighting in room could be improved.
Counter space in bathroom a bit tight."

"We really enjoyed the breakfast provided at the hotel - fresh coffee, choice of toasted bagels, white or brown toast, english muffins, with jams and honey, a nice fruit platter, a choice of cold cereals. The other guests were also friendly.
The hot tub was being serviced during our stay, but otherwise we thought it was a super place to stay and very convenient to Toronto."

"I lost my set of keys at the hotel during my stay, and when I called to ask if they were found the person on the phone was NOT helpful at all and was VERY rude. He said he would call back and never did. I called the next day to ask and tell them where I had left them and he YELLED and said they were not found. Something needs to be done about this."

"The girls serving the Continental Breakfast were super friendly and very knowledgable about questions asked. We found the same with the people that were at the desk.
One thing, though, that I particularly look for when travelling is a swimming pool, either indoor, outdoor or both. This would be a very valuable amenity when attracting visitors who want to be near enough the Toronto and Niagara Falls, especially when there with children."

"We were pleased with all aspects of this hotel. The location was great for us, with easy access and lots of parking. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was relatively quiet, which is a plus.
