"Asked for smoking - got non smoking Asked for pull out couch Overall cleanliness in the room was bad! Breakfast was ~ so so at best Their smoking rooms were disgusting - even though they had windows & patio doors to air it out -- they didn't even try! Not even an air freshener!!! Smelled like a filthy ashtray. Their cleaners need to learn how to reach under beds & chairs with their vacuums - let alone to use the tool to clean crevices! They 'upgraded' us to the room we originally paid for only because they heard us talking and saying that we were going to call the 1800# we were given with our receipt in case of problems. The spa was closed - there was no Gym & the pool was right in the front lobby! People using the computer could watch you in the pool - kinda creepy if you ask me! They promoted "new pillowtop beds" - not in my room!"

"i had entered the address in my gps and was taken to the Holiday Inn Express!!!!!!! I depend on my gps to take me every where. Had the folks at the Holiday Inn not been as helpful as they were, I might not have been staying with them."

"In Question #2, Upon entering the north end of the building, the first thing that caught my attention was the condition of the rug. It looked old worn and dirty. It was hard to look at the rest of the Hotel,any other way. But the room was in good shape."

"I was encouraged to eat at the Don Cherry Restaurant next door to the hotel by the lady who checked me in. She informed me that I would receive a 10% discount just by showing my room key. I did this but was informed that since I had ordered the special the 10% discount did not apply. This should have been told to me at the front desk when I was encouraged to go to this restaurant and also by the waitress at Don Cherry's. I found this to be misleading and a little annoying."

"Customer service was just O.K. They could be just a little more friendly and smiley. This hotel is too expensive for the quality it offers and too espensive for up north. It is not a place to take holidays. You are there because you have to be. People drive trough North Bay. You stop because you are driving long distances. We were there for funaral reasons. We must have rent 20 rooms all of our relatives. No special prices were given."

"Excessive mold around the picture window in the room. Hot tub was cool not hot. Excellent breakfast provided and was enjoyed."

"When checking in, it would have been nice to be asked if we wanted a room looking out onto the highway or not. No options were given. No frills breakfast is an excellent idea. Finally, pool water was somewhat cloudy and the hot tub was too hot. All around - our stay was OK."

"Everything was okay but I couldn't help but notice the reception I receieved. I was checking in with my 14 month old and partially chose this hotel because of its advertised warm welcome and service, etc. Instead, I noticed that each time I approached the front desk for check in, check out, etc, the service was much warmer and welcoming for the male snowmobiling crowd that was frequenting the hotel."
