Overview
This hotel is a 3-minute walk from the North Bay city centre (where Main St., the board walk and a number of shops and restaurants are located). This hotel appeals to travellers who seek accommodations within walking distance of downtown, or with guests looking for accommodations at a lower price point.

All of the 40 rooms at this hotel have free Wi-Fi, a hair dryer, a coffeemaker and an iron and ironing board. Guests can choose between rooms of varying sizes with a king, queen or two double beds. Pets are permitted for no extra cost.

Although there is no restaurant on site, guests are offered a complimentary continental breakfast daily. There are also a number of restaurants located within a 5-minute walk. On-site parking is free.

This hotel is a 4-minute drive from Lake Nipissing. North Bay Memorial Gardens (arena and recreation centre) is a 9-minute drive away. The Good
Many of the reviews used for this analysis were positive, and guests were impressed with the price point and with the hotel's location.

There was a sense from a number of guests that there was good value for the price they paid. The phrase "reasonably priced" surfaced often in guest comments.

Location was a positive factor for a number of guests who said that this hotel was close to shops and restaurants. Guests also liked this hotel's proximity to the downtown area (3-minute walk) and to Lake Nipissing (4-minute drive). 

Guests received good service from staff at this hotel and said that they were warm, courteous and efficient.

Guests said that their rooms were a decent size and that there was more than enough space to accommodate their needs.

There were some additional comments about comfy beds.

The Bad
Although many of the reviews used for this analysis were positive, guests did have a few complaints in common.

A couple guests complained about a lack of detailed cleaning and mentioned finding articles left from other guests in the room. A few guests said the bathrooms were small and one guest found the towel rack to be broken.

There were some guests that complained about the difficulty they had regulating the temperature in the rooms. This seemed to occur on the coldest winter days where guests found the rooms too cold for comfort.

Guests conveyed that the hotel was in need of updates.

"what's bad is the lack of information for new people in town regarding public transportation, and other services such as location of Canada post, rental aencies, government institutions"

"Filthy, run down."

"We made reservation online and upon arrival could not stay at this hotel due to the filth and mould smell of the room so checked out and went to another 2 star hotel for a little more money which had 10 times the cleanliness. I'm guessing if a health inspector checked some rooms, the hotel would be closed."
