The Good
Guests very much enjoyed their stay at this cozy and friendly B&B.

It was well located. Guests liked the quiet and safe neighbourhood. It was within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of the Old Towne and the lakefront. Guests who liked to bike, found that it had easy access to the Niagara Parkway bike trail. And some guests enjoyed dining right next door at the Pillar and Post Inn.

Breakfasts were tasty, generous, varied and homemade. Guests were usually quite pleased with the included breakfasts which offered items such as waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausages, eggs benedict, breakfast burrito, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee.

Guests found the rooms well cleaned and comfortable. They described them as a good size, yet cozy and offering all the necessities. Some were surprised to find complimentary in-room coffee and tea (for a B&B) and one guest said it was great to have a mini-fridge for storing goodies bought in town and chilling wine. Another was pleased to have access to real wine glasses and a bottle opener for in-room use.

The hosts were very well liked by guests. They were very fondly mentioned in the reviews and guests found them warm and genuinely helpful and friendly. They were engaging and sociable with friendly conversations. Guests felt welcomed, well treated and well cared for. They also received helpful information about the area and coupons to local restaurants and wineries from the hosts.

One guest conveyed well the genuine hospitality of the hosts, "When told that we might possibly be unable to have breakfast in the morning because of a schedule, Doug immediately brought up a tray of breakfast foods to put into the mini fridge for us in lieu of the actual. Very thoughtful!"

Adding value to the stay were: furnished balconies to visit and relax on with a glass of wine, in-room coffee and tea, free bike rentals for visiting wineries or riding the trail, free local and long distance calls, free cold drinks and lovely gardens to walk through.

The Bad
There was very little negativity in the reviews, but a few nitpicks were found online.

Room complaints found recently were: no temperature control in the room chosen and room was cool but not as cool as preferred for sleeping, water pressure is not great, but gets the job done, and TV is dated and not user friendly.

One guest complained that the portions were too large for breakfast!
