The GoodGuests compliments for the Niagara Falls Bonaventure Travelodge were numerous and they often focused on the hotel's price, the location of the property, and the size of the guest rooms.
In regard to the price, several guests commented with approval on their room rate. Many guests looked to this hotel for a rate that was cheaper than what Niagara Falls typically had to offer and they were not disappointed.
The location of the property, despite being further away from the attractions than many other hotels in the area, did not draw that many negative comments. Some people said they were happy to be away from the "chaos" of the central area. Others said that they still found the falls and the attractions to be reasonably close by. Still others said that the hotel had enough nearby restaurants and shopping.
Several guests also commented on the rooms at the hotel and the reviews were pretty mixed. However one feature that received compliments was the size of the rooms as guests felt that they were spacious.
The Bad
Guests who complained about the hotel often said that the rooms were "dated" or that they seemed old. Some guests mentioned sinks and toilets that were in need of repair due to cracking.
Other guests were not too specific about their gripe but just said that the rooms felt "tired" or worn. Many other guests did not just focus a criticism on their hotel room but said that the hotel needed renovations (ie. painting) in general.
Multiple guests also complained about a bad smell in their rooms. One guest used the word "musty" while a couple of other guests said that they smelled cigarette smoke in a room that was supposed to be non-smoking according to their reservation.
But everything considered, "The Good' outweighed "The Bad" at this property as reviews tended to be on the positive side.
