The Good
Guests that stayed at this hotel seemed fairly happy with the property and the overall experience. Guests liked the location of the property, found the rooms comfortable and reasonably priced, and enjoyed the pool area. Many were returning guests and many also planned to return to this hotel.

Many guests found the rooms to be clean and well maintained, and quiet with comfortable beds.

The location of the hotel was very well liked. Multiple guests indicated that it was in walking distance to Casino Niagara, Clifton Hill and viewpoints of the waterfalls, without being too close to the noisier areas of Niagara Falls. Some guests also enjoyed views of the Niagara River from the property, and close proximity to public transit.

Several guests said that this hotel was good for travelers who were on a budget and some guests were repeat visitors who felt this hotel was a good find.

The pool area added value to guests' stays and was a highlight for some, especially families with children. One recent guest said, "The hotel also features a very nice indoor pool area, with a mini waterfall feature, a kids pool, and a large hot tub. All were very well kept, and in excellent working order. There is also an outside sun deck off the pool area."

The Bad
Complaints that were found online for this hotel centred around extra charges and the perceived age of the hotel.

A few guests complained about being charged extra for parking. Guests also missed having a mini-fridge in the rooms and some complained about having to pay an extra $10 for a mini-fridge per day. Some guests complained that drinks were not included in the already expensive price of the breakfast buffet at the hotel.

Many guests called the property dated and said the rooms and bathrooms were in need of renovation. Guests complained about 60's decor, peeling wallpaper. smokey smells and shower water temperature fluctuating wildly. Occasionally guests complained about an amenity not working well: a phone, a hair dryer, a dripping AC unit.

Some guests were disappointed in the staff at times, although some guests found them pleasant and helpful and occasionally guests complained about the restaurant and bar being closed during the week in July, when advertised online that it is open seasonally.
