Overview
Located about a 9-minute drive from the Horseshoe Falls, The Peninsula Inn & Resort is an event-geared hotel offering conference and wedding facilities, on-site spa and extended stay rates.

The 100% smoke-free Peninsula Inn & Resort is comprised of 95 rooms and suites, and offers cable TV, air-conditioning, hair dryers, coffeemakers, and irons and ironing boards each room. Wi-Fi is available at $5 + tax per stay. Additional included amenities for suites are jacuzzi tubs and refrigerators. 
The hotel also offers bachelor and one-bedroom apartments for long-term stays and independent living, which include sink, refrigerator and microwave, as well as use of the hotel's amenities.

Parking is available for free. Additional general amenities for the hotel include gym, whirlpool, indoor pool and sauna. The Peninsula Inn & Resort also houses an on-site full-service spa, which is open daily from Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am - 7 pm. Wedding and conference facilities are also available, which include an on-site chapel and gazebo, and can accommodate up to 180 people. This hotel allows small pets (dogs or cats under 15 lbs.) in ground-floor rooms only for a fee of $10 per night. Accessible rooms are available upon request.

The hotel is situated on a 4.5 acre parkland resort, and is a short drive from most of the Falls' tourist attractions such as, Maid of the Mist about a 13-minute drive, Fallsview Casino, the Clifton Hill district, which features a variety of dining and entertainment options and Marineland, all about 10 minutes' driving time.

Nearby dining options include Mandarin, Hoops Sports Bar & Grill and Cora's Breakfast & Lunch all about a 7-minutes walk. The hotel may offer a seasonal restaurant.

Shopping is available at Niagara Square Shopping Centre, a 2-minute drive, Canada One Factory Outlets and Brand Name Shoe Warehouse both about 6 minutes away, and The Pen Centre Mall, about 17 minutes driving time. (All travel time estimates - Google Maps).

The Good
Reviews were quite mixed in the reviews consulted for this editorial. It seems that guests who got the room for a cheaper rate were quite a bit more pleased than guests who paid top dollar.

Many guests complimented the hotel's staff on their friendly and helpful service. Several guests were pleased the staff responded quickly and pleasantly to any issues they may have had.

Several reviewers commented favourably on their rooms and accommodations, describing the rooms as clean and spacious. Some guests characterized their stay as "a quiet retreat" and "serene and relaxing".

Many lodgers found The Peninsula Inn & Resort to be of good value and "good for the money spent", mentioning the hotel was less expensive than those closer to the Falls.  

Several guests enjoyed the location of the hotel, commenting positively that it was quiet and not near the busy tourist areas, however some guests found the hotel's location inconvenient in relation to its proximity to the Falls because they would have to pay for parking once at the falls.

Reviews were quite mixed in the reviews consulted for this editorial and negative feedback surfaced on a few points.

Several guests remarked that their rooms had out-dated decor, and below-average features. One guest mentioned a mouldy bathroom and stained carpet.

A few reviewers were upset their rooms did not include a refrigerator, and some guests were disappointed with their small cable TV, and mentioned they were only able to get a few channels.

A few guests were unhappy to be charged a fee for Wi-Fi in their rooms, and many guests had trouble with the signal.

One guest complained of the pool smelling too much of chlorine and another complained of a "chemical smell" in the room.
