The Good
Guests who stayed at this hotel thought that the property had a lot of strengths. Patrons often praised the guest rooms and the location of the hotel.

The main reason that guests liked their guest rooms was because they had rooms that faced the falls and they enjoyed their views. Some guests also said that their rooms were comfortable and multiple guests specifically mentioned their beds. Guests also generally considered this hotel to be a "clean" property and there were very few complaints about room dirtiness.

Numerous guests liked the hotel's proximity to attractions in Niagara Falls. Besides the falls themselves guests mentioned several other destinations such as Clifton Hill and the casino. Multiple guests mentioned that they liked that the hotel had connecting walkways that enabled them to visit some attractions without going outdoors.

The staff of the hotel also received some compliments as guests typically described them as congenial and willing to assist.

The Bad
Guests that did not totally like the hotel usually mentioned something to do with the value they received for the prices that they paid.

Many guests commented on their room rates directly and indicated or suggested that they felt as if the property was overpriced. Many other guests mentioned that a lot of services that the hotel offered were add on charges with frequent complaints about parking charges and Internet charges. Less often guests complained about having to pay to use the steam room or to eat breakfast. One guest said that he felt as though he was "gouged" to pay for extras and many others seemed to have a similar sentiment.

Some guests also complained about noise at this property and they mentioned a diverse range of sources. Often the noise came from other guests but one guest mentioned the elevators as the source.

Occasionally a guest complained about his/her room not having a fridge.

"The hotel was excellent, however, we would have liked for the roof-top pool to be open later than 9:00 pm, way too early to close, but overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there."

"Upon arrival at the hotel, we were well taken care of. Parking attendents made our life real easy, especialy after an 8hrs drive. Once to our room the view was terrible, our luggage attendant called room reservation to see if there was an other room ready. The room switch was made with no assle. Parking (15.00$/day + tx).Hotel loctaion was outstanding. Didn't have to use the car, we were right in the middle of all the action;falls, rides for the kids, restaurants, live band show in the park across the street... the heated outside pool on the 7th floor gave a great view of the falls."

"I asked for a non smoking room they told us that they changed us to one and it wasn't true: the smell was unbearable."

"The only problem was the air conditioner was a little tired. I had it set at 60 degrees and the room felt like 80 degrees. I understand the area had a heat wave, with every thing else great,a little heat was not so bad."

"There is a 10.00 fee to use the fitness facility. I have never been to a hotel that charges you to use their exercise machines. Their facility isn't even that great. No sauna just a small pool"

"the hotel its self was a great look, but checking in was so frustrating, than having the housekeeping come knocking on the door at 9am where its clearly state that i have a 1:00pm check that was not nice, the beds were so wonderful i just wish i could of slept in. thanks marrianne walsh"

"The suite we had and the view of the Falls were exceptional. That said, the restaurant was so-so and the room rate quoted did not include use of the gym and several local taxes which bumped the price up cosiderably. So my advice would be this - go for the view for 1 night, but eat elsewhere."

"The view was wonderful. Everything else was a mess. I had listed on the comment card about 8 things that went wrong or were unacceptable. That is not good and surely not worth the cost. I intend on contacting the Corporate Office to voice my complaints."

"The fallsview rooms were great, you are able to open your window on look out onto the city. You can see all the way up Clifton Hill Rd, and both the falls from room 1774. the outdoor pool was really nice, but the indoor pool was a bit small. Also, the nights they have fireworks was really nice...from the 17th floor, you are about eye level with the fireworks. Tons of fun, and tons to do!!!"

"The hotel staff was terrific and very accomodating. One aspect of the hotel should be addressed and that is the foyer for the elevators and the elevators themselves. It seems to me that the elevators were an after thought to the construction of the hotel? Small foyer, large crowds either moving in or out, and SLOW elevators does not make a world class hotel."

"Sheraton has a customer satisfaction guarantee that is excellent. Our friends booked a fallsview room that ended up having a small roof blocking most of their view. Upon hearing our friends express disappointment while delivering their luggage, the bellhop volunteered to find them a better room. He arranged it all and moved them to a bigger suite on another floor with a wonderful falls view. It was definitely an upgrade with no extra charge nor effort required of our friends. We were all impressed. As well, Sheraton's Sweet Sleeper bed MUST be mentioned. It is by far the most comfortable hotel bed on which any of us had ever slept. We will always book a Sheraton hotel in the future and highly recommend this one in particular. The only thing I would caution guests about is NOT to eat at the Perkins outside of the casino. Our breakfast for four was mediocre and outrageously priced at well over $100. Our dinner the night before was fantastic and reasonably priced at Montecello's (within walking distance). Go there if you can't afford the Sheraton's restaurant. The only thing that I didn't like about the hotel was their lack of changing facilities at the pool. We ended up not using it because we did not want to walk through the hotel in our swim suits but there was only a bathroom in which to change poolside. Not very accomodating."

"The "fireplace" was just a picture with motion of a fire. No warmth! There was a glass door that opened with a safety bar onto the "Falls View". The essence of fresh air and the roar of the falls was exhilirating."
