Overview
Ramada Plaza Niagara Falls is a 6-floor property located away from the falls and casino area, however it is close to outlet shopping. Guests were typically appreciative of the relatively cheap rates however had issues with the hot water. The indoor swimming pool was an amenity many guests looked forward to, however were disappointed to find that it was quite chilly. Average guest ratings were roughly 7.5 out of 10 points (on 10 point scales) and 3.5 out of 5 points (on 5 point scales).
The GoodIf there was a trend among guest reviewers it was bed comfort. Quite a few reviews mentioned the appreciation for the (seemingly new) pillow-top mattresses. Guests typically found their stay comfortable and quiet. The convenient location, just off the highway (QEW), across the street from an outlet shopping mall was one of the main reasons many guests chose this hotel over other hotels closer to the falls. Similarly, the relatively cheap rates in this highly popular tourist area was praised by travellers on a budget. According to some repeat guests this property appeared to be recently renovated with much nicer interiors compared to previous trips. These rooms were said to be spacious and more upscale than expected considering the price.
The Bad
The lack of hot water was a consistent complaint from reviewers across all sources used in this analysis. According to some guests there was either no hot water available or it was extremely slow to reach the room. Some guests on TripAdvisor.com mentioned they had to run the tap for upwards of 10 minutes before it started to get warm. Similarly, there were complaints that the indoor pool was too cold to swim in and enjoy. Cleanliness appeared to be inconsistent. There were a few guests that praised room cleanliness however there was a noticeable number of reviews that stated otherwise. A handful of reviewers on Booking.com mentioned that upon arrival they had to call down to the front desk to complain about an unacceptable and dirty room. There were also numerous complaints regarding the limited selection of television channels and an Internet connection that was unreliable.
Expedia.com guest reviewers rated this hotel 3.8 out of 5 points with 85% of guests recommending the hotel. Most guests were content with the hotel and generally found the rooms to be clean and fairly comfortable. There were sporadic, isolated complaints here and there, however overall it was a recommended property.

Guests were generally content with their stay stating that it was a good value for the money, however it was apparent that this property was not the most luxurious or memorable hotel choice in Niagara Falls.
