Overview
The Niagara Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre (formally a Quality Hotel brand) is situated among restaurants and other hotels, west of the tourist areas of Niagara Falls. This property is well located for guests looking to access attractions within a 20-minute walk or a short drive.

This hotel is 100% smoke-free and all 113 rooms include free Wi-Fi, free local calls, a desk and ergonomic chair, a 32" flat screen TV, individual climate control, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer and a coffeemaker. Rooms are furnished with two queen beds or one king bed. Select rooms that overlook the courtyard area feature exterior corridors. Mini-fridges are available on request at no additional charge.

Suites are configured with a separate sitting area, a sofabed and a jetted tub. Suites are furnished with either one queen bed or one king bed and select suites also include a fireplace.

Free parking is available on site and pets are not permitted.

This property does not offer on-site dining.

While there were many negative reviews found for this property, among the reviews used for this analysis, guests seemed to agree that the location was convenient for accessing area attractions, restaurants, nightlife and casinos. A few guests mentioned that they were able to walk to some attractions and one reviewer found a local bus stop nearby.

Many reviewers thought that the room rates were reasonable and several of these guests thought that the room prices were the most attractive aspect of this property.

A few guests said that they had pleasant views of the city from their rooms. While several guests thought that their rooms were clean, there were several other reviewers who were not happy with the cleanliness of their rooms (see below for details).

The front desk staff were thought to be friendly by a few guests, however a couple of reviewers described unpleasant experiences with staff members.

Guests expressed concerns about several aspects of this property, among the reviews sourced for this analysis, and many reviewers indicated that they would not stay at this property again.

The hotel in general was described as rundown by many guests. A couple of guests smelled cigarette smoke in the halls, while some other reviewers described stained carpeting, litter and peeling wallpaper in the common areas. Other guests were concerned about room cleanliness and described sticky surfaces, unclean bathrooms, holes in the walls and peeling wallpaper.

Several guests thought that this hotel seemed to attract younger guests who liked to party. A few reviewers mentioned seeing some questionable people, that they suspected to be prostitutes, loitering around the hotel and in the lobby. Guests agreed that this hotel would not be appropriate for guests travelling with children and one reviewer thought that the surrounding neighbourhood was sketchy. A couple of reviewers complained about noise disturbances from a neighbouring night club.

A few reviewers found their rooms and the property in general uncomfortably cold.

Other complaints that were shared by a couple of guests included: rude front desk staff, in-room TV was not in good working condition and the free Wi-Fi was unreliable.
