Most guests remarked on the low price of the hotel, saying that you "couldn't find much cheaper", however, many reviewers also characterized the price as, "you get what you pay for".
Some reviewers complimented the Niagara Lodge and Suites on their free continental breakfast, which includes a "make your own waffles" option. One guest described it as, "a better breakfast than most luxury hotels".
Several lodgers mentioned the location was close to the Falls, shopping, and dining options, however a few guests commented that the hotel describes its location to the Falls as closer than it actually is.

The Bad
Guests responded negatively to the hotel's cleanliness, bad smell, and insect issues.
Several guests remarked their rooms were dirty and in need of repair. Concerns included stains on the carpets and sheets, plumbing issues in the bathrooms, and an overall dirty and run-down facility.
Many reviewers had experiences with insects at the hotel. Instances with bedbugs were described by some, as well as instances with ants and "unknown insects".
Several guests complained about a bad smell in their room, and a few described the smell as musty and mouldy.
The staff were characterized by a few as "not helpful at all", and unfriendly. A few lodgers were told they were not allowed to access their rooms at a 1pm check-in time, unless they paid an additional $10, or alternatively they could come back at 3pm.
