"The beds were much too firm resulting in loss of sleep and soreness.

"We booked a room with a heart-shaped jacuzzi in it, and every ad that I'd seen from the hotel had luxurious tiled areas with a red tub etc. Our room turned out to be tiny and the tub was grey with no special decorations around it. I didn't bring my hairdryer, because I knew the room had one, -- but the one in my room didn't work!!! So that was disappointing, because I have long hair. Upon checking out and telling the clerk of my dysfunctional hairdryer, there was no discount, nor was there any apologies, and after we were done paying and LEAVING we were told to "enjoy our stay". The clerk just did not have his head in the game. For an after tax price of over $300, I also feel that there should've been more included with the stay, such as breakfast perhaps.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth!"

"We just did not get any Discounts on Food and we had to pay for the Shuttle bus. Last time we stayed we did get discounts on food and the shuttle bus was free. (That may be because last time only myself and my husband went). Otherwise the kids loved the pool too."

"Our request was filled promptly aand courtously by telephone.
The staff were extremely helpful in answering any questions.
The room was very comfortable and amply furnished for three persons as we had requested.
Howard Johnson's will be first on our list for future stays."

"On our first night there when we checked in they said they would have to charge us an extra night because we were checking in at 2 am, but when we made our reservations we called to make sure it was ok if we checked in at 2am. We also called the hotel on our drive to Canada to make sure it was ok and they said it would be no problem, but once we got there it was a much different story. ALSO the night shift Manager was very rude and unhelpful.
We asked for a non smoking room and they gave us a smoking room with cigarette holes all over the floor and the room smelled so nasty. The AC did not work in the room either and it was very hot and muggy and it made the smell even more. They did not offer us an extra room, they just said there is nothing they could do about it. Parking was 8 bucks a night and then you have to tip the maids. That added another 80 bucks to our bill.
I would say if you come to Niagara Falls do NOT stay here the place is filthy and dirty and the staff is very rude.....
Stay somewhere worth your money"

"We were led to beleive that this was a 4 star hotel, 1 block from the falls, with complimentary shuttle bus service and a continental breakfast. This was not true as it was about 1/2 mile, the hotel was definitely at least 5 years old if not older and there were no amenities at all. I am handicapped and my friend is 78 so it was very inconvenient. Add to this the fact that there were only 2 handicapped parking places that were shared with Denny's restaurant, it was most unpleasant. Most of the staff were polite and helpful as far as directions and bus schedules except for the young lady who we had to deal with at the beginning and the end. She was very snippy and had the attitude that we were annoying her. I would never stay there again and will not recommend it to any of my friends."
