The Good
Guests typically enjoyed their stay at this hotel.

Guests liked the condition of the rooms. Many of the rooms have been renovated and guests were quite pleased with them overall. They described them as clean, spacious and well maintained. Many had stunning views of the falls and some rooms even offer views from the bathroom shower and jetted tub. Other plusses were screened windows that opened for air and to hear the falls, fireworks could be seen from the room at night and comfy beds.

Guests spoke well of the staff. They were described as attentive, courteous and caring.

The location was central. Guests said they didn't need their cars and could walk to restaurants and attractions, plus the WeGo bus stop was right outside the hotel.

Guests liked dining on site. The Keg and TGI Fridays were both successful in providing good meals.

Guests were often pleased with the free breakfast offered for selection and quality. They mentioned enjoying the made to order omelettes and advised going prior to 9 am when it was served in a large buffet room with no line ups.

Some were happy to receive free alcoholic beverages at the cocktail hour on site.

Some mentioned having kids that loved the pool and hot tub.

The Bad
This was a busy and touristy place and as such it was sometimes disappointing.

Guests did not like the extra charges. Reviewers warned of the TIF, or tourism improvement fee that they said one is at liberty to refuse to pay. (They claimed to have been told it was mandatory.) A 1 litre size bottled water in the room was $9.50 according to one guest.

Some guests were disappointed with the obstructed view of the falls from their room. It was not like the picture shown on the hotel's website and and guests felt they were not properly informed of this previous to their booking. Some felt let down and deceived by the hotel's pictures. Guests also said 'partial view' rooms and 'full view' rooms called "fallsview" they and their friends got were the same price, although the views were drastically different.

Guests often complained of long waits at the elevator, for breakfast, for the car from the valet and at the front desk.

Some thought the breakfast (other than the hot omelette station) was rather bland, with not much choice of fruit and vegetables and unexciting. Others mentioned that the evening snacks needed improvement--chips, pretzels, trail mix, pickles and carrots with ranch dressing each night was repetitive and mediocre for a reception.

Recent room complaints were: overly hot room, bathroom could use an update, and no sitting area in a very narrow room.
