Many guests said their rooms were clean and spacious and some also mentioned that the beds were very comfortable and provided a good night's rest. Most guests found the accommodation to be an excellent value for the money spent and some patrons indicated that they would recommend the hotel to others for this reason.
A number of guests who were pleased with the hotel's tropical courtyard and swimming pool said they enjoyed the way it was decorated with plants, trees, and flowers. Some guests also mentioned that the swimming pool was a good size and had a pleasantly warm temperature.
Several guests noted that this hotel had excellent customer service with friendly staff that were attentive to guest's needs. The restaurant staff were also perceived as efficient and professional by many guests.
The Bad
The few negative guest comments for this hotel generally spoke of high noise levels and the distance from the hotel to the Falls.
Several guests complained of high noise levels from the hotel hallways, noise that sometimes persisted past a reasonable hour. Guests that stayed in rooms near the courtyard mentioned that it was difficult to sleep because of the noisy guests who could be heard partying in the courtyard area.
A few guests said they would have preferred to have been closer to the Falls. In response to one of the guests that mentioned this the hotel manager wrote that the hotel would soon have a Visitor Transportation Service starting in June 2012 which will be available for guest use year round.

"Clean with the most comfortable beds you will ever sleep in."
"My girlfriend and I came to Niagara to take in the casino, fireworks and do a bit of shopping over the border on a last minute get-a-way. I had initially turned up my nose at staying at a hotel that I perceived on the website as geared towards families. I/we were thrilled with our stay at this hotel. The moment we stepped off the elevator I noticed a fresh slightly sweet smell in the corridors. The standard room we had was large with the most comfortable mattress and pillows I have ever slept in; and believe me, I know good beds. I suffer from a chronic back condition and have had to spend over $2K for my mattress set alone so I was beyond thrilled with the quality of the mattress. When we retired for the evening, we were pleasantly thrilled over the various free movie selections that were playing on our flat screen tv.
We bought deeply discounted tickets from the reception desk for the Bodies exhibit which is a fascinating yet eerie look inside the complex workings of human beings.
All in all, the hotel was clean, fresh smelling - not musty like most hotels and the location was conveniently located on a major street. I/we would definitely stay here again."

"cetais fantastique on a eu un petit probleme avec notre aire conditionner alors nous avons avertis l'administration pour avoir une nouvelle chambre ou se faire reparer notre aire conditionner le plus vite possible se que nous esperions car nous ne voulions pas tout remttre nos bagage dans une autre chambre. nous etions tres fatiguer.au retour, a notre grande suprise, l'aire conditionner etais reparer a la perfection. merci beaucoup a best western"

"AFTER COMING FROM BEST WESTERN CAMBRIDGE WE WERE EXPECTING THE SAME FANTASTIC HOSPITALITY FROM CAIRN CROFT (WE WERE SADLY MISTAKEN) WHAT A TERRIBLE HOTEL, WE UNDERSTOOD IT WAS THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD AND THERE WOULD BE NOISE, BUT NOT TO BE PUT ON THE SAME FLOOR AS A HOCKEY TEAM ! WE DID COMPLAIN AND WERE TOLD BY THE OBNOXIOUS FEMALE DESK STAFF THAT 'IT WAS OK' NAME AND SHAME 'JENNIFER' (FRONT DESK NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LOVELY RESTAURANT STAFF ONLY THING GOING FOR THIS DUMP)'JENNIFER' WHEN WE CHECKED OUT WAS PARTICULARLY OBNOXIOUS TO THE EXTENT THAT SHE THREW MY HUSBANDS CREDIT CARD BACK AT HIM. VERY UNFRIENDLY, AND THE KIND OF STAFF THAT GIVE CANADIANS A BAD NAME"

"I am almost 40 and have been going to Niagara Falls since I was a little girl, and have stayed in many different hotels. I will never stay anywhere else again. The Best Western Cairn Croft is very family friendly, especially in the courtyard. If you have little kids, get a downstairs courtyard room. If you don't have kids, you may want an upstairs courtyard. Either way, they are wonderful rooms, and an awesome hotel. We're already planning our next trip."

"The only negative thing I can think of is that behind the hotel towards the parking lot there seems to be an area that people use to smoke and the ground was covered with cigarette butts. Maybe some kind of receptacle to put the cigarette butts in should be put out there or else it should be swept up daily. otherwise everything else was fine."
