A free continental breakfast is served daily and includes hot items and bagged "on-the-go" breakfasts.

This hotel offers the following recreational facilities: exercise room (weight machines and cardio equipment) and an indoor pool.

Other on-site amenities include a private courtyard with barbeque facilities, free newspapers in the lobby, safe deposit boxes, coin-operated laundry machines, dry cleaning services (extra fee applies), vending machines, and a business centre (copy, fax, print, and out-going mail services - extra fees may apply).

The free reliable wireless Internet service, free parking, and private courtyard area were all mentioned as value added features by guests, with several reviewers stating that the hotel offered good value for the money they spent. The Bad
While positive reviews outnumbered negative reviews, among the reviews used for this analysis, there were a few common concerns.

Several guests described areas of the hotel that could use minor upgrades. A few guests thought that the carpeting appeared worn and unclean. A couple of reviewers complained that the windows did not open, while a few other guests thought that the kitchenettes appeared slightly run down. However, it is important to mention again that this hotel, at the time of writing, was undergoing renovations and will be reopened as TownePlace Suites by Marriott in August 2012.

Some reviewers found the location inconvenient for exploring Toronto area attractions. A few guests also complained that there were few restaurants nearby and no on-site restaurant. A couple of reviewers complained that the location made it difficult to travel around the city without a car.

A couple of guests complained about smelling cigarette smoke and other unpleasant odours in their non-smoking rooms.

While many guests found their rooms to be clean (as mentioned above) a couple of guests complained about a lack of housekeeping service on a multi-night stay and one reviewer said that her housekeeper "did nothing other than make the bed and change some towels".

"The hotel was fine, not a five star, but neither was the price. It was quiet, clean and comfortable and I would recommend it."

"Booked here due to the free shuttle to the airport. Once we arrived we found that the shuttle had limited hours and started at 6:00am and we needed to be at the airport by 6:00 am. Shuttle driver was at the counter and said "sorry can't help you". We did not bother to check in and the 8 other guests that we were travelling with also left to find another hotel to stay in. The front desk service was not helpful or welcoming and did not seem at all disappointed that they lost the business. Went down the road to the Comfort Inn where we gots rooms, a free shuttle to the airport, friendly service AND it cost less."
