The location of the hotel was well-liked for a few different reasons. Some guests appreciated that it was reasonably close to the airport and other guests liked that they found restaurants nearby. However the main compliment for the hotel had to do with its proximity to shopping and multiple guests mentioned that the Square One Mall was nearby.
The breakfast at the hotel received consistent praise. Guests seemed to like that it was a buffet and many of them attested to the quality of the food. For example, multiple guests said that the breakfast was good while another guest said that it was "excellent." The restaurant in general received good reviews and many guests liked both the service and the food at other meals besides breakfast.
Many guests also liked other facilities at the hotel. For example, many guests mentioned the pool at the hotel and felt that it was a nice amenity.
The hotel generally seemed to be a clean and comfortable property and many guests said they planned on returning or recommending it to others.
The Bad
Guests that did not entirely enjoy their stay at the hotel often focused their criticisms on a few common areas.
The parking at the hotel received some complaints, typically because it was not free. Many guests appeared to think that it should have been included in room rates while others that accepted that they had to pay for it still felt that it was expensive.
Occasionally guests had problems with the parking that had to do with other factors besides price. One guest said the parking garage had "tight corners" that made it "awkward" to park large vehicles. Another guest described a frustrating experience where he was both unable to find a spot and unable to exit the parkade. As a result he "spent nearly 1 hour" looking for a place to park his vehicle before finding success.
Many guests also felt that their guest rooms were in need of updating. One guest remarked that his room was like a "run down Super 8 motel." There were occasional complaints about the carpets in the rooms and many felt that they needed replacing due to stains, general wear and tear, or cigarette burns.
Some guests mentioned that the wireless Internet at the hotel was slow and one guest called it "extremely slow."
