The GoodGuests who stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Mississauga were generally happy with their stays. Guests often paid compliments to the staff, the guest rooms, and the location of the hotel.
Guests who said positive things about the staff generally described them as congenial and willing to provide assistance. A couple guests said that they found the employees to be "courteous" and there were very few off-setting complaints to consider.
The guest rooms also received praise from several hotel patrons. They frequently indicated that their standards for cleanliness were met and many guests also expressed an approval over the size of their rooms.
Guests who liked the location of the property often indicated that it was because of the quick access to Highway 401. Despite the fact that the hotel is situated a little ways from the airport, Highway 401 provided many motorists with an easy connection to YYZ.
Some guests also said good things about the hotel's breakfast and the value they received for the price paid. The breakfast selection was considered large and many guests indicated that they liked the quality. Many guests also said that they found the hotel to be inexpensive and free Internet and free parking added value to the room rate.
The Bad
Some guests did not totally enjoy their stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Mississauga. Common complaints pertained to noise at the hotel and, contrary to the opinions of the others, some guests did not like the location of the property.
While the hotel's close proximity to Highway 401 helped many guests connect to their destinations it also acted as a source for noise at night. Several guests issued warnings in their reviews to prospective guests about that noise. The recommendation was to try to avoid staying on the side of the hotel that was nearer to the 401 as it would negatively affect light sleepers.
Some guests did not like the location of the hotel. They found it isolated and one guest thought that it was only a good location for motorists. Another guest described a very expensive cab ride from the Toronto Pearson Airport, a destination that is almost 20km away in terms of driving distance to Terminal 1.
Some lesser concerns were made by some guests regarding the restaurant. A couple guests felt that it was overpriced while other guests didn't find the service commendable.
