"Howard Johnson in Midland Ontario not recommended."
"Nobody at the desk when we arrived.
Had to wait in cold for 10 minutes for proprietor to let us in the lobby.
First room very cold at first then developed water leak near vanity.
Were moved to second room but heat stopped working through the night.
Proprietor did nothing to compensate us."

"comfortable room could have a better coffee and tea making machine tho. Breakfast was just a bagal/toast or cerial so be prepared to go out for a decent breakfast. advert says minuets away from downtown. They fail to say that is by car. But on the whole a decent room for the nigt"

"Comfortable but not for coffee lovers like me"
"The biggest disappointment was the coffee- both in the hotel room and at the hotel breakfast. I had to quickly run somewhere else to get a good coffee. Also, maybe some of the breakfast items can be replenished when they run out. We got there at 9am and all the whole wheat bagels were gone- there were two packages of "all-dressed"- with PB&J? Yuck! Overall though- besides my food critiques- it was very comfortable."

"Lack of amenities wasn't great - no facial tissues; no hand/body lotion; no clock radio; no iron - little things that you come to expect of any stay. The a/c unit couldn't be adjusted no matter what we did. The bath mat was either dirty or very stained (we didn't use it obviously). There wasn't enough parking for all the guests and the complimentary breakfast area was very cramped and crowded.
We did find the bed comfortable enough and it was a quiet room."

"Comfy, quiet and convenient."
"My stay at the Howard Johnstons in Midland Ontario was great. This hotel was very clean witth large spacious room equipped with fridge and microwave. Room was quiet and hotel was situated so close to malls and eating areas. Continental breakfast was included but as I am celiac cant comment on the breakfast. Would highly recommend."

"they went as far as taking their microwave out of their room and letting us use it. thanks so much even when it was like 11 oclock at night. made our stay comfortable looking at we were there for a funeral"
