"in general, it's a pretty nice place to live in. its location is beside the highway, and good for drivers.the room is clean, and mattress is comfortable.
i do not like the heating, it's window style with fair amount of noise and can be very dry in the room."

"room was ready when i arrived. front desk very courteous and helpful. room was clean, lots of towels. air worked great, not noisy. close to 401, shopping and restaurants. clean, handy, and resonably priced. what more do you need. will use it whenever in the area."

"The best place in town for the price"
"Excellent value for the price. The single had a huge bed, pillows were superb! Room had microwave, fridge, iron. TV rec'd many channels. I have stayed here three times, and will doubtless stay here again. Free breakfast is adequate. Location is a bit far away from the center, and the trucks can be loud, but there is a mall and restaurants within walking distance. Really a great deal."

"Be wary of motel, would not stay there again."
"Getting into hotel was very dangerous. Not enough signs directing you to the driveway. Rooms in very poor shape need new bedspreads, soiled. Rug in very bad condition. Hotel booked due to girls hockey so no other rooms available. No other motel had rooms either, so forced to stay."

"Conveniently located to expressway, comfortable and clean"
"Very large room, clean, bathroom fitted out recently. The pillows are very comfortable. The amenities: refridgerator, microwave, iron, hairdryer, coffee were all there. Large TV on a marble counter. Nice desk area. Decent continental breakfast in a nice room."

"cheap, noisy, good customer service, decently clean"
"I was pleased with the price, it was clean enough not spectacular. The t.v had lines through it and the speaker was blown. The bathroom was so small it was suffocating. The staff were vaccuming hallways while we were trying to sleep, overall pretty noisy. Customer service was good, check in and out very speedy. I was not overly thrilled."

"Overall, good"
"The outside appearance looked a little sketchy, but inside was nice. The front desk attendant was on his cell phone every time we passed the desk, he did get off of it when we had a question though. The bathrooms were VERY small. Beds were kind of hard. I was surprised that there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. That was nice. We were told we would have a king size bed, but ended up with two doubles."

"Hotel from HELL - BED BUGS, CLUMPS OF HAIR & SNOT in beds"
"The first room we checked into had BED BUGS, we saw them crawling on the bed. So then we were moved to another room. We pulled down the sheets in this bed to see if there were bed bugs. We didn't spot any bed bugs but we did find giant clumps of black HAIR and dried up, huge pieces of SNOT (yes, snot). I was so disgusted I went back to the front desk and said that I wanted my money back so that I could go stay at a different hotel. The girl at the front desk told me that only the manager could do a refund and he wasn't there. She told me I would have to wait until the next day to get a refund. I didn't have enough money to put another hotel on my credit card before this one was refunded so I was basically forced to stay there. She moved us to a THIRD room, but instead of having the king size bed we had requested, it had two double beds. We had no other choice but to stay in the third room. We both had a terrible sleep because we felt like bed bugs were crawling all over us. I had gone out to London to write the LSAT the next morning at 830am, and because of the EXTREME uncleanliness of the Howard Johnson Inn and all the problems we had, I was not able to get to sleep until 130am. My night was ruined and so was my chance of doing well on the exam the next day, as a result. Additionally, the "continental breakfast" was disgusting. The muffins were STALE and there was not much to choose from, Overall, my night at the Howard Johnson Inn was NOT worth $110. I have stayed in motels for $50/night that were 10X cleaner than this place. I would NOT recommend this hotel to ANYONE. Stay far, far away!"

"Good Value"
"Great customer service! Good value for the room compared to nearby establishments. Room was clean and odour free. Mattresses were a bit too firm. Hallways were not swept. Overall, good experience. Would recommend to travelers on a budget."

"Not worth the money"
"The location was good... right on the main strip, but the service was awful and... when I asked about Conditioner for the bathroom the lady said "Yes we are working on upgrading to carrying conditioner"... WHAT? At almost $100/night.... give me some conditioner please. And the bed was rock hard, extremely uncomfortable. The room was really small, but it did the job I guess... However I would never go back to the Howard Johnston. Sorry guys."

"I found the personnel very friendly. The room was very clean, and fresh towels and supplies were brought daily. A microwave, fridge, hairdryer, iron & ironing board were supplied. The pillows were very good, not the hard rubber kind. The hotel is easy to find, close to the highway. I thought it was very good for the price."

"wouldn't go back"
"The room with a king sized bed we had booked was full of ants. Got moved to a another room with two twin beds. Beds were too soft. little things were missed; lift the glass end table cover and clean underneath it, poor caulking job on jacuzzi tub, stained soap wrapper (like it had been wet). Room layout was inefficient; no closet - clothes hung in the open beside the sink and partially blocking doorway to bathroom. In order to use the sink or enter the bathroom you would always be in contact with anything hanging on the clothes hangers. Don't bother with the "continental breakfast", it's not worth the trip down the hallway."

"The phone system would NOT allow long distant calls charged to the room. I had to go out and find a pay phone to use my credit card as I don not have a calling card.Cont. Breakfast was bare minimum and poor quality."
