Overview
The Holiday Inn Exp Suites Downtown is located on the north side of Dundas Street between Colborne Street and Waterloo Street in London, Ontario. The hotel is centrally located and it is a short walk to all of the following: the John Labatt Centre (1km), the London Convention Centre (850m), and the London Railway Station (800m).

The 10 story high property offers 109 guest rooms with 20 of them suites. Hotel rooms feature desks with work lamps, one queen bed or two queen beds, 27-inch televisions, microwaves, and refrigerators.

Amenities at the hotel include business services, a fitness centre, concierge services, and safety deposit boxes behind the front desk. The business services at the hotel include photocopying, faxing, printing, and there is a PC available for guest use. The fitness centre includes an elliptical machine, a treadmill, and a stationary bicycle.

The hotel has 88 parking spaces total for guests and they each cost $9 per day. Pets are not allowed at the property with the exception of trained dogs for people with disabilities. Check-in time at this hotel is 3pm while check-out time is 11am.

The Good

Guests who stayed at this property were impressed with the hotel from several perspectives.

Most notably, several guests found that the property offered clean rooms that had comfortable beds. Secondly, guests who stayed at this hotel often had positive things to stay about the staff, people who are described as congenial and amicable.

The breakfast at this hotel also received a nod of approval from some guests with hardly any complaints to the opposite effect. Guests thought that there was either good selection at the buffet breakfast or that the continental breakfast was of good quality.

The central location of the hotel received some compliments from guests as well. Visitors to the hotel found that they were able to get to the John Labatt Centre with ease and they also found shopping without much effort.

Guests who commented on the price of the hotel's room rates were typically pleased with multiple guests appreciative of the fact that the room rate included Wifi.

The Bad

Guests who stayed at this property were generally satisfied. However, guests that expressed concerns in their reviews often said that they did not like their rooms, that they had troubles with noise at the hotel, or that they had Internet connectivity issues.

The guests who said they did not like their rooms frequently focused on one thing: small size.

Many guests also mentioned that the hotel had troubles with noise and most of these guests pointed a finger at other guests. Multiple times, patrons who reviewed the hotel described drunken partiers at the property which staff could not control. Perhaps related, one guest who complained about noise mentioned that he/she had to sign a noise waiver at front desk prior to check-in - something that shows that the hotel cares but that also implies that the noise problem is real.

Lastly, some guests experienced problems with the Internet. Not all of these guests were specific as to what their problem was but instead simply said that it was not up to par. Guests that did explain what was wrong with the Internet mentioned slow processing times or frustrating disconnects.

"Clean,Comfortable and a Good Value"
"The hotel was convenient to downtown. It was clean and updated. It was very quiet, as we stayed during the week. We can't say enough about the staff...They were amazing!!They were friendly, helpful, and bent over backwards to help out..The complimentary breakfast had a good variety for everyone and the staff again was very friendly..We would definitely stay at this location again and would try another location in the future.The only thing we would have liked would have been a pool but we would still stay again without it! Great overall experience!!"
