"Price & location good, but noisy patrons not curtailed"
"Very noisy in the wee hours of the morning (2 am to 4 am) People partying and loud in hallways. Should segregate smoking & non-smoking by floors, as hallways always carried smell for non-smokers."

"The WORST hotel I've ever stayed in."
"The room was DIRTY. When I went to have a shower, the shower was disgusting and the shampoo had DIRTY finger prints on it and it was already OPEN and almost completely consumed. The bed was VERY old and worn down. The walls had holes and the wallpaper was rippled. The picture on the wall had broken glass in it. I asked for a non-smoking room, which was pointless because the entire hotel absolutely STUNK with smoke. I couldn't WAIT to leave and was extremely frustrated to have wasted my money on such an establishment."

"Among my many complaints, the hotel room had an infestation of ants, which was repeatedly dismissed by the staff, I had a pair of pants stolen from my room and the air-conditioning was inadequate."

"We found it to be very cool in the room with no control over the heat. Also, when checking out, we were billed for telephone calls that we did not make. My wife was at University Hospital visiting me when the calls were to have taken place. I we need to make a call, a cell phone was used. My wife ended up paying for the calls even after explaining that they weren't her calls.

"I had booked for 2 nights, I cancelled the 2nd night we had reserved a studio room with hide a bed, but couch didn't open had to sleep on a folding bed. I'm 50 yrs old travelling with my elderly parents this was not suitable at all. THIS PLACE IS A REAL FIRE HAZARD....electric cords everywhere, the Elevator very noisy, rooms dirty, no plugs in bathroom, carpet & comforter smelled like an ashtry. VERY DIRTY...
We went to the Comfort Inn Hotel next door for the second night got excellent rooms & service for same price."

"For the size of the room I had,the price was great. Although the rooms
were older they were well kept. I had friends booked next door at the
Comfort Downtown and they were shocked at my room compared to their's

"This "hotel" was an apartment building at one time therefor has separate bedroom; living room (very spacious) pull-out couch (check for clean sheets - sometimes the cleaning ladies forget to change);kitchen (fridge, stove, micro, dishes, pots, pans, sink, cupboards, etc.). It is presently being renovated into smaller hotel rooms (one floor at a time) consequently the existing floors have been sorely neglected ( windows, screens, bathroom sink, doors). Common hallways are old and need of care. U/G parking good but tight fit.Distinct musty odor everywhere.No amenities; front desk and that is all. Price is good. Digital TV many stations very good.
Lastly; Canadianhotels confirmed $85/nite but billed at $95/nite until I presented my e-mailed confirmation from Can.hot. Thanx
I would still return but I would bring a bottle of Febreese."

"I did NOT stay at this property as I was absolutely disgusted with the condition of this hotel that was ranked as a 3 star. The front desk clerk was alone and frustrated, looked like he rolled out of bed and came to work and his manner was nothing short of irritation at being disturbed. The accomodations that I had booked were not available as the roach hotel was overbooked. I, did, however, check out one of the two rooms that were being offered me and after seeing the dirt embedded in the carpet, the peeling paint and smelling the rancid smells that came from neighboring rooms-I couldn't leave fast enough. The walls are paper thin and the arguments that were coming from one room were loud if not worrisome.I think you should send a representative to check out this property before grading it a 3. In my books-this didn't even get a grade.
I have learned an important lesson here, though, and that is not to use your service in the future."
