This hotel is about an hour from Pelee Island (accessible by ferry) and is often used by Island travellers as a home base.

All of the 61 rooms at this non-smoking hotel have free Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, a 32" plasma TV, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. Guests can choose between double or queen beds. Pets are allowed for $10 per night.

There is no on-site restaurant, but guests are offered a complimentary continental breakfast daily. There are also a number of restaurants within a 5-minute walk from this hotel. Free parking is available on site.

Within walking distance is Seacliff Park (Lake Erie beach access and picnicking),  just over a 10-minute walk away.  Shopping is also within walking distance (Walmart and Canadian Tire and other big box stores, are less than a 5-minute walk away). Within a 10-minute drive from this hotel is Point Pelee Island National Park and the Pelee Island Winery. (All distances and travel time estimates: Google Maps)

The Good
Most of the reviews used for this analysis were favourable and guests were most impressed with this hotel's location and with the customer service.

Staff received a number of favourable comments from guests. Staff were described as friendly, efficient and personable and went out of their way to assist guests and to ensure their needs were met. They were very helpful in accommodating requests and in providing directions and advice on local restaurants and attractions.

Guests said that this hotel was conveniently close to restaurants and to a number of big box stores. Guests also liked this hotel's proximity to Pelee Island (about an hour drive, including a ferry ride).

A number of guests said that selection and quality of food offered at the complimentary continental breakfast was good and that they appreciated the convenience of having a free breakfast offered on site.

There were some additional comments about comfy beds and good Wi-Fi connections. 
The Bad
While most of the reviews used for this analysis were favourable there were a few common guest complaints, most notably about aging decor and about the absence of an elevator.

Some guests said that the hotel was starting to show its age and that updates were in order. Bathrooms and furniture in the rooms were mentioned as needing particular attention. 

A number of guests found the lack of an elevator at this two-storey hotel to be inconvenient. Guests with mobility issues and guests with lots of luggage said that stair climbing was difficult.

A few guests complained of lingering odours of cigarette smoke in the rooms, while others said that the breakfast room was small and that there were not enough chairs or tables to accommodate all guests.

"value for money."

"Honestly, it needs an elevator for second floor guests. It was very difficult for me with cases and bags and laptop etc. The room was fine. I like the convenience of the fridge and microwave. The front desk staff were helpful and with the breakfast the stay had value for money."
