"Eleanor Roosevelt stayed here and it's just as she left it."
"The beds were uncomfortable. The bathroom had no towel rack. There was sh... stuck on the inside of the toilet bowl. You could hear evrything from the neighboring rooms above. There was no one to help you bring your luggage from the car which you had to unload from a busy side street. At least the coffee shop next door was excellant. With a substantial investment this place could be made better. As it is I wouldn't recommend it. This hotel is very old and needs to be modernized now."

"Be careful of room location but charming historic hotel"
"Love the historic aspect of this hotel but amenities are limited - eg.no room service. Television didn't work but hotel staff offered to move me to another room immediately. Room faced into an exterior corridor with loud HVAC that ran all night making it difficult to sleep. Great location - just steps to restaurants and shopping downtown."

"The people at the front desk were wonderful. they were very helpful. I had asked for a smoking room and when I got there they gave a non smoking. I asked the girl at the front desk if I could smoke and she said yes. evey day I was using a cup as an ashtray. You would think the room service would leave me and ashtray never did in five days. also you should have a tv in the room that you sleep in I like to wach tv in bed and this was not the case. I had to watch tv from a love seat not good. My name is whriting like Brigitte not Bridgette"
