Located directly off Hwy 8, and about 9 minutes east of downtown Kitchener, this budget hotel offers a cheaper room rate with easy access to the highway.

Both smoking and non-smoking rooms are available. All of the 45 rooms at this hotel have free Wi-Fi, free local calls, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, an iron and an ironing board, a hair dryer and climate control. Rooms are furnished with 1 or 2 double beds or 1 or 2 queen beds. Room extras include a kitchenette (stove top, sink, microwave, mini-fridge), a microwave, a desk, a fireplace, a balcony and a jacuzzi. 

Free parking is available on site for cars and oversize vehicles. Pets are allowed for $15 per pet.

Free morning muffins, juice, tea and coffee are offered to guests. There is also a selection of restaurants within a 5-minute walk. 

On-site amenities include a seasonal outdoor pool, free newspapers, ice and vending machines. 

Mall shopping is available at Fairview Park Mall, a 7-minute drive away. Downtown Kitchener is a 9-minute drive away. The Waterloo Region Museum, which includes the Doon Heritage Village (60-acre living history village), is a 10-minute drive away. (All travel time estimates: Google Maps)
The Good
The recent reviews found online for this hotel were of mixed opinion.

Guests who liked the hotel were happy about the lower room price and felt they obtained a cheap overnight stay with a decent place to sleep. They commented about having hot water to shower, clean sheets and in-room appliances such as a microwave and mini-fridge.

Additionally some guests found the location handy to the highway, groceries and Tim Hortons.
The Bad
The recent reviews found online for this hotel were of mixed opinion.

Guests who did not like this hotel typically complained about the hotel not being a good place to bring children due to the presence of drugs and prostitutes, noise levels that hindered sleep, older rooms that were poorly maintained or poorly cleaned with smoke and musty odours, and carpets that made guests' feet black. Some also described run down rooms.

Several guests said there was no breakfast during their stays (and times where the front desk was not manned), and others complained about very poor quality muffins and watered down juice offered at breakfast. Several guests said there was no coffee provided in their room.

Other areas of complaint were: the outdoor pool was not heated and the bathroom fans and AC units were very loud.

The staff received mixed reviews with some saying they were friendly and others saying they were unfriendly or unsavoury.
