The Good

Guests really liked this hotel's proximity to the 401 (Trans-Canada Hwy), and said that it was easy to locate. They also liked that there were a number of big box stores located nearby (within a 10-minute walk), as well as a number of restaurants (within a 2-minute drive).

Rooms were clean, comfortable and well laid out, according to a number of guests. Several guests were also pleasantly surprised with the size of the rooms.

Price point was a major draw for several guests. There were several comments about affordable pricing and on a positive perception of value for what guests got in return for their room rate.

There were some additional comments about comfy beds and from guests who enjoyed the pool area.
The Bad
Most of the reviews used for this analysis were favourable, although guests did have a few complaints in common, particularly problems with noise and with aging decor.

Noise disturbance was a problem for a few guests, both from the street and from noisy, rattling air conditioning units. A few guests indicated that that noise from guests in neighbouring rooms was a problem as well.

A number of guests felt that the hotel, while generally well maintained, was beginning to show its age. The decor was worn, and was in need of updating, according to these guests.

A few guests had trouble with slow and unreliable Wi-Fi connections.

There were a few comments from guests who were disappointed that there was not breakfast included with the room rate.

"Nice hotel, but a bit expensive."

"Rooms were clean, large and modern, nice large washrooms and friendly desk staff. A little bit expensive for what it was, but would stay there again if I am ever in the area."

"Was good but could be better"

"The room was clean but not clean enough. They forgot to clean the spider webs out of the corners of the rooms. I am affraid of spiders and there were a few. Everything else was good. The restaurant was very pricey but its located very close to other restaurants. Overall me and my children had a good time."

"I requested an early check-in. Upon arrival at 1230hrs, I was told point blank that check-in was at 1500hrs and that there were no rooms available. While I understand that time is required to clean/prepare rooms for new guests, I find it hard to believe that there was not one clean room available at 1230hrs. Not all guests stay until check-out. In fact, I checked out of my room the next day at 0800hrs."

"The service was excellent. The only concern that I have was the location of the ice machine. The location of this machine is not safe for anyone getting ice. I got hit by someone opening the door. One of our kids got hit as well. There is no other way where to stand while getting ice. I hope you do look into this matter and change the location. Thanks, Liliana"

"The Hotel should of had a complimentary continental breakfast. Especially for the price. A 2 double size bed in one room. Basic amenities. We've stayed in other hotels with similar surroundings with breakfast included. Upon asking about it, was told that they'res more expensive hotels near the harbour with same amenities. What I should of been told with my suggestion that they would take it into consideration for future. Thanks Other than that, Hotel was okay."
