The Good
This motel was a sweet find for plenty of recent travellers along the 401 Highway providing a very pleasant value-priced stay.

Guests were well pleased with the spacious rooms. They were invariably clean and well equipped with Keurig coffeemakers (and free pods), mini-fridges (with freezer compartments and ice cubes), microwaves, quiet and efficient AC units and new windows that opened. Although the exterior of the motel betrayed its age, the interiors had been nicely renovated by caring owners. Many said they had a great sleep at this motel in a comfortable bed with good quality bedding and pillows and heard no traffic noise from the highway. Guests often mentioned enjoying the balconies for a place to unwind.

The owners were well liked. They were described as thoughtful, congenial, friendly and helpful. One guest whose car would not start in the winter said the owner came right out and gave him a boost. Another reviewer who was arriving late said the owner had thoughtfully left the light on in the room to assist her arrival at night. Another said she received a Swiss welcome right down to the chocolate!

Guests typically liked the quiet location right off the highway. It was especially handy for guests who were driving and did not mind staying outside of the city limits. It was a convenient and safe place for a stopover while driving to Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal and some guests liked not having to fight the downtown traffic in Kingston. The Mac’s convenience store and A&W, right next door, were also handy for guests, along with a Tim Hortons a 5-minute drive away.

Guests found the Wi-Fi reliable and fast and the TV to have many available channels.

Many were very pleased with the value of this motel.

The Bad
Although guests were typically quite pleased with this motel there was a little negative feedback posted online in reviews.

Although some guests said their AC functioned very well and was quiet, a few guests found their AC units too noisy. Other room complaints were: no deadbolt for the exterior door (only a chain), no extractor fan in the bathroom and poor views of highway and construction from the balcony.

Some guests found it hard to locate nearby restaurants offering full meals or delivery to the motel.

Some thought the exterior and property itself needed some upgrades or landscaping.
