A lot of Kingston's points of interest are easily accessible from this hotel, but you will need a car to get to them. The Cataraqui Town Centre (Kingston's largest mall) is about a 5-minute drive away. Fort Henry (originally built in 1812) is about a 13-minute drive away. Queen's University Campus is about a 7-minute drive.

The GoodWhile most of the reviews used for this analysis were negative, there were a couple of bright spots for guests at this hotel, including its location and attractive price point.
A few guests felt that this hotel was conveniently close to Hwy 401 and was within reasonable driving distance to downtown Kingston and to sights.
There were a number of comments from guests who felt that they had received good value for the price that they paid. Guests commented frequently on affordable, reasonable room rates.
The Bad
The bulk of reviews used for this analysis were negative. Guests complained commonly about the lack of detailed cleaning and problems with the TVs.
Guests were not impressed with the lack of cleaning done in the rooms and in the common areas at this hotel. Guests commented frequently on dirty carpets and on dirty bathrooms (the floors in particular). One guest felt that her bathroom floor was so dirty that she cleaned it herself. Linens, towels and furniture were dirty as well.
There was a sense from guests that the hotel itself was in a state of disrepair and was in need of some maintenance and renovations. There were several comments about doors hanging from hinges and not closing properly, plugged toilets and sinks and peeling paint in the rooms. Some guests said that the exterior of the hotel was crumbling.
A number of the guests felt that the TVs were old and did not work well. The cable kept cutting out, and many guests said that they had trouble controlling the volume on their TVs.
There were some additional complaints from guests who were disappointed with the complimentary coffee, muffins and donuts served in the lobby and said that the coffee was cold and that the food was not very well stocked. Some guests said that they received poor customer service.
