The Good
This hotel was well liked by many of its guests. It was a comfortable hotel in a fantastic location.

Guests found the location ideal for exploring the area. It was close to great restaurants and pubs, the K-Rock Centre, the Pier, the farmer's market, the LCBO, a micro-brewery and shops, all in walking distance. Fort Henry was an easy drive away and guests took dinner cruises across the 1000 Island region. One guest recommended a 90-minute bus tour of the city (great for architecture and history buffs), on a sight-seeing trolley which was available just around the corner from the hotel.

Guests found very clean and comfortable rooms that were updated, well appointed and had nice views of Lake Ontario. The beds were considered high end and very comfortable.

The restaurant on site was often described as offering delicious meals.

There were lots of positive reviews reflecting how good the staff were at this hotel. They were able to care for people who had unusual and pressing (hospital) needs, and they were really kind and friendly.

Many guests appreciated having well-lit underground parking that was reasonably priced for a downtown hotel. Although the entry/exit was a little tight, the actual parking spaces were accommodating.

The Bad
There were some complaints posted by guests, who were not completely pleased with their stay.

Occasionally guests felt the hotel was a little expensive and were disappointed that breakfast and parking were not included in the room rate.

Some were disturbed by noise. They mentioned on-going renovations, partiers in a neighbouring room and noisy students.

Recent room complaints were: mould on shower tile, spiders on ceiling and windows, thin carpet, chipped bathtub, toiletries in bathroom in wall dispensers, old furniture in the room, loud AC unit, bathroom looks dated, no early check in given, room had drab and dark decor and poor lighting, saggy mattress, carpet was damp and the room smelled, smoke detector kept beeping, and TV didn't work well.

Recent hotel complaints were: no real lobby-nowhere to sit besides room, dark breakfast room, too few elevators, tired common areas, and eyes burned from chlorine in the pool area, and ice machines in hotel were not working.
