Overview
The Best Western Inn Plus Fireside Inn is located on the north side of Princess Street west of Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard in Kingston, Ontario. The hotel is 2.8kms from the Kingston rail station, 1.9kms from the Kingston Memorial Centre, and about 3.4kms from Queens University (all distances: Google Maps).

Facilities at the hotel include a business centre, a fitness centre, meeting rooms, and two restaurants. The Bistro Stefan restaurant is meant for dining while the Tom’s Place pub is more for lounging and relaxation. The property is two stories tall and does not have an elevator.

There are 76 air conditioned guest rooms at the pet friendly and non-smoking hotel. Room amenities include free high speed Internet, electric fireplaces, coffee makers, televisions, irons with ironing boards, in-room safes, and clock radios. The Best Western Plus Fireside Inn also has 13 suites all of which feature a double whirlpool bath.

The Good

Guests who stayed at the Best Western Plus Fireside Inn in Kingston often approved of the hotel. Common compliments for the property either praised the guest rooms, the staff, or the hotel's food/restaurants.

The pleasant "ambiance" of the rooms seemed to impress many guests, some of which referenced the electric fireplace and said that they were a nice added touch. Guests generally thought that the rooms were clean and some guests thought that they were large or spacious. Additionally, the rooms were often described as comfortable and multiple guests specifically said they found the beds comfortable.

While many guests liked their rooms, some thought that they seemed old or dated. A few guests had trouble operating the heating controls in the room or said that the heater simply wasn't working.
