Located one minute from the intersection of Highways 9 and 21 and roughly a 3-minute drive from Kincardine Centre for the Arts, the Best Western Plus Governor's Inn Kincardine is well suited to travellers who require a hotel providing easy highway access in central Kincardine offering banquet facilities and a free buffet breakfast.

This hotel has 59 air-conditioned guest rooms and suites, each offering satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, a coffeemaker, a desk, a hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board. Standard rooms offer two double beds, while rooms with one queen or one king and a sofabed are also available. King suites are offered and provide a separate bedroom, a kitchenette, living area with a sofabed, and a jetted tub.

Hotel amenities include a steam room, a hot tub, a business centre, fitness facilities, a games room, and meeting/banquet space. Parking is free and pets are permitted for $20 per pet per night. This hotel is wheelchair accessible.

The Good
The majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive with much praise going to the hotel's staff, food, rooms, and location.

The hotel's staff were a source of many compliments by guests. They were characterized as accommodating and welcoming, with one lodger remarking, "All the hotel staff from the welcome at the reception desk to the dining room staff to the room cleaning deserve five stars".

Numerous reviewers praised the hotel's food. The complimentary breakfast buffet was described as tasty and "the best continental breakfast I have found of any hotel", while the restaurant's food was described as excellent, exquisite, and very good.

Several patrons were pleased with their accommodations at this hotel. They described their rooms as clean, spacious, well-equipped, modern and tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds.

The hotel's location was also positively received by guests, who described it as close to the highway, local beaches, restaurants, shops, and the Port Elgin Pumpkin Fest. It should be mentioned however, that a couple of guests pointed out that the beach is not within walking distance from the hotel.
The Bad
While the majority of the reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a couple of complaints among them about the lack of noise transfer and lack of swimming pool.

A few guests reported instances of noise disturbance during their stay. They reported a noisy air conditioning unit, as well as being able to hear noise from other guests in adjacent rooms and overhead. It should be noted however, that many guests found their rooms to be quiet while staying at this hotel.

Although pleased with the hotel's services and upkeep, there were a couple of reviewers who commented on the hotel's lack of pool, and how they thought there should have been one on the property.
