"Vert Dirty hotel"
"The rooms in the hotel smelled as well they were very dirty, the blankets on the bed had visable stains as well the pillow cases did not appear to have been changed from the previous guest. The owner was very abrupt when checking in and needs to slow down the speed of talking as he was hard to understand and not very friendly when we had questions she disregarded them. i would not recommend the Kenora location to anyone."

"We found the hotel 'dingy' and the only reason we stayed there was because it had a waterslide for our young son. We would stay there again, but simply for the waterslide. I would not recommend it to anyone who does not need/want to use the pool area...find a nicer place for the money!"

"A nice quiet place but just one complaint. The pool and hot tub water is very dirty. There was dirty foam and scum in the hot tub all the time and the pool water was very cloudy. After a while we didn't want our son in there swimming around. Some of the other guests we spoke to had the same comments. I realize it might be hard to maintain, but if you advertise your hotel as having the "only hotel waterslide in Kenora" you might want to keep on top of it and make sure the pool and hot tub are nice and clean. Thanks."

"A suggestion would be for the hotel to offer a continental breakfast, however they do give a 10% coupon for a meal at the adjoining restaurant."

"Just one note: The safety devices are underneath the water slide and are difficult to reach if someone was in need. Also, I believe some of the items were corridored off with a fence (to prevent people from going underneath the waterslide. A safety officer would have a hard time with this, and lawsuits from a drowning could occur. I would recommend moving the safety devices (rings, wooden stretcher, reaching stick) to a more accessible location. Also the wooden stretcher is rotting in the lower corner. I would suggest replacing this with a fiberglass model. The facilities were good, just a lack of quick access to safety equipment was a major concern."
