Overview
Located on Rice Lake and about a 5-minute drive from Highway 2, Elmhirt's Resort is geared towards travellers who prefer a scenic hotel with self-contained cottages, on-site dining and easy highway access near the water.

Each of the hotel's smoke-free cottages offers free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a DVD player, a full kitchen, a BBQ, a separate bedroom, a living room with a sofabed, a jetted tub, a fireplace, a desk, a balcony, an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. The hotel is wheelchair accessible. Pets are not permitted.

Hotel amenities include a private beach area, an indoor pool, a seasonal outdoor pool, a sauna, a hot tub, a spa and wellness centre, fitness facilities, a tennis court, horseback riding, water sports, a private beach area, a games room, a children's playground, meeting/banquet space, a business centre and free parking. 

On-site dining is offered at Wild Blue Yonder Pub (open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch) and Hearthside Dining Room, which serves dinner daily.

One patron noted, "My first statement has to be the beauty of the entire setting; it is positively breathtaking, peaceful beyond belief and with wildlife to interest and excite even the hardiest of urban dwellers".

The hotel's staff were the source of many compliments by reviewers, who characterized them as helpful, friendly and accommodating.

Several travellers were impressed with the hotel's food, describing it as delicious, excellent and well presented, with friendly service. One guest remarked, "Meals were gourmet!
