Located just off the Trans-Canada Highway and about a 5-minute drive from Lindsay's city centre, the Howard Johson Lindsay is geared towards business or vacation travellers who require a centrally located hotel with a free breakfast, meeting/event space and easy highway access.

Each of this smoke-free hotel's guest rooms offers air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, a desk, an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Rooms with a microwave are also available and the hotel does not offer wheelchair-accessible rooms.

Hotel amenities include meeting/event space, free long-distance calls within North America, a business centre, free coffee in the lobby, a free breakfast and free parking. Up to two pets 30 lbs or less are permitted for an additional $15 per pet, per night.

The hotel's staff were the source of many compliments by reviewers, who found them friendly, helpful and accommodating. One patron remarked, "The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The follow up call to my room to make sure everything was fine was appreciated".

Numerous guests found the hotel's location to be convenient. They described it as safe and easily accessible, as well as close to highway access, restaurants, shopping and Peterborough.

The hotel's free breakfast was enjoyed by several lodgers. They described it as excellent and well stocked, with several hot and cold choices and a clean eating area.
