Many guests were pleased with the hotel's location. They described it as being close to Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, within minutes of several wineries, and Lake Ontario. It was mentioned by these reviewers that the setting and restaurant views overlooking Lake Ontario were beautiful.
The hotel's staff were a source of several compliments by lodgers. They were characterized as professional, accommodating, responsive to requests, and courteous.
Several reviewers were pleased with their accommodations at this hotel. They described their rooms as clean and spacious with comfortable beds, as well as beautiful and impressive views of Lake Ontario. It should be mentioned, however, that some guests complained their balconies and patio furniture were dirty.
The Bad
While most of the reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few common complaints among them, which included the hotel's common areas, poor TV reception, and noise transfer.
Some guests were disappointed with the state of the hotel's common areas. They reported worn and tired carpets, dirty windows throughout the hotel, cigarette butts outside, and an unkempt pool area.
The hotel's TV reception was a source of complaints from a few reviewers. They described only being able to get 7 or 8 channels in their rooms, and that those channels were fuzzy.
A few guests reported noisy air conditioning/heating units in their rooms, and noise from wedding parties booked in the hotel. It should be noted however, that noise was not an issue for the majority of reviewers of this hotel.
