The Bad
Guest compliments in reviews outweighed guest complaints for this hotel however when guests expressed a concern with the Comfort Inn Huntsville, they tended to focus on their room, the breakfast, or the staff.
With the room, most guests complained about an offensive smell. Many guests did not specify what the smell was exactly but instead alluded to something musty. Rooms were also disliked for having uncomfortable beds by multiple guests with relatively few guests complimenting bed comfort.
The staff were not generally disliked - employees of the hotel received more praise than ill-natured comments. However, occasionally a guest reviewed a staff member negatively but only for reasons that varied as opposed to one or two consistent problems.
Many guests did not consider the hotel to be a stand-out ‘value-pick’: when guests chose to either complain or compliment the value they received for the price paid, most chose to complain.
Peripheral concerns by guests included hotel maintenance criticisms (ie. hotel seemed “old”), problems with the view from their room, or a concern over limited breakfast seating.
