"I wish I had not just been passing through - the barbecues and other unusual amenities looked very inviting!"

"I was working in my room most of the time I was there and I asked the hotel staff for extra coffee and they obliged without hesitation.
A microwave would have been the only thing I would have liked to have been added."

"Carole from Oakville writes:
The "breakfast" on the first morning was not a good experience. There were so many people around, we weren't sure what to do as there was no extra seating. There was nobody around to help and one lady had difficulty opening the cereal container! The crowding, waiting for coffee and toaster etc. did not start the day of right!
The next morning we were wiser and grabbed what we needed and went off to the gazebo.
My sugestion: Don't offer a continental breakfast - McDonalds is just up the street! Or if you do continue with the breakfasts make sure that people are given suggestions as to what goes on and some options on where they can eat it!!!!"

"First chain hotel we've ever stayed in with no elevator for second floor guests. Free breakfast was a joke. Very small lobby with no place to sit and lots of people."

"The young woman at the front desk upon our arrival was very rude, dismissive and totally not helpful!!! We had reserved a non-smoking room. We have small children! She told us none were available and tried to put us in a smoking room, telling us that it wasn't that bad as no one had used it for a week. The room reeked of smoke! I asked for a non-smoking room again. She told me none were available. I then asked for a machine to attempt to deodorize the room. She told me I would have to wait because she had to go upstairs to get it. I again attempted to compromise and asked for the non-smoking room with a queen bed if she could provide a cot. She replied that they don't supply these. She then went on to serve others behind me, and asked a couple who had no reservation whether they wanted a non-smoking room. I told this young woman that her attitude was very bad and that I was going to report her to the management. I also told her that I had called on the Thursday to confirm my reservation which included a non-smoking room. The person at the desk confirmed on Thursday the 30th that that was what was reserved for us. I was then back in the room (intending to pack up and leave) when she called to say that a non-smoking room was suddenly available. This was all totally unnecessary and very unpleasant. We had to be at a family 50th anniversary party in 30 minutes. Needless to say, it was difficult to attend the party, which my husband and I were hosting, when I was still very angry at this person. She should take a course in public relations, to say the very least!!! My husband and I are both lawyers, we travel alot, and will recommend a hotel to colleagues if it is good. I cannot recommend this hotel when the first person one encounters upon arrival is so discourteous and makes us feel totally irrelevant. She should appreciate people with small children are not going to subject their children to second hand smoke!"

"The area where the complimentary breakfast was served was too crowded. Otherwise our stay at the hotel was fine and we would stay at another Comfort Inn or in the same one again. It is not near an airport that I could see."
