Overview
Located across the street from the University of Guelph, this hotel is well suited to travellers who are visiting the campus or students of the university.

In all 104 rooms at this smoke-free and pet-free hotel guests can expect free Wi-Fi, free local calls, a 32" flat screen TV with cable channels, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, a desk, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer and individual climate control. Room extras include microwaves (at an extra fee), balconies, easy chairs and sofabeds. All rooms are furnished with 1 king or 2 queen beds. Suites offer more space and include a microwave. Accessible rooms are also available.

Free parking is available on site.

Guests are offered a complimentary hot breakfast buffet daily, including an assortment of baked goods and hot items like eggs, pancakes and sausages. Guests can dine on site at the Stone Lounge, for dinner only.

On-site amenities include an outdoor pool with sun deck open from June to September, a fitness centre open from 6 am to 10 pm, free newspapers, ice and vending machines, an elevator and meeting rooms.

Guests can reach the Stone Road Mall in 20 minutes on foot or 4 minutes by car. This hotel is about a 6-minute drive from the downtown Guelph core which contains the VIA Rail Station and the Greyhound Bus Terminal. The Good
Most of the reviews used for this analysis were positive and guests really liked the customer service, the hotel's location and felt they had received good value.

Words like friendly, efficient, professional and helpful were used to describe the staff of the hotel. They were also considered to be responsive to guests' requests.

Location was a draw for a number of guests who appreciated this hotel's proximity to restaurants in walking distance, the University of Guelph, Stone Road Mall, Guelph city centre and the VIA Rail Station.

Guests said rooms were clean (a number of guests described them as spotless) and well-laid out. They said they were of spacious and able to comfortably accommodate their needs.

A number of guests liked the quality and the selection of the food offered at the complimentary breakfast. They liked that there were hot items included such as eggs, pancakes and sausages in addition to a variety of quality baked goods. 

Adding value to the stay for some guests were the enjoyable outdoor pool and balconies, free Wi-Fi and parking.

Some guests conveyed that the hotel served well for business purposes, but was not their preference for a romantic or leisure stay and some described the hotel as average.

Some guests felt the hotel was starting to show its age. Items mentioned were peeling wallpaper, bathrooms that were dated, low water pressure, slow drains, flickering lights in the rooms when turned off, damp rooms and carpets, and stale smoke or musty smells. 

There were a few complaints about noisy neighbours in the hallways.
