"Gravenhurst entry level hotel at the gateway to Muskoka."
"Older establishment in need of internal reno. Windows are way too high, bathroom cabinet is way too low, lazy boy in 80's dusky pink is old and flat to sit in. Good location, good price for comfortable bed, new flat screen."

"We arrived around 1:00 pm and we were let into our rooms by a very pleasant and accomodating hostess. The rooms were clean and met our needs. Howard Johnson has always been my choice of hotels. They are clean and affordable.

"We came to Gravenhurst for a wedding, so this was just a place to sleep, but we couldn't find a place for lunch other than Tim Hortons,or MacDonalds, and at the end of evening, going next door to the Restaurant/Bar was disgusting. For a rich playground like Muskoka, this restaurant should be full. It had nasty little tables against the wall, pool tables... seedy, grubby..... please picture the wedding party all dolled up with nowhere to go after the lovely Seguin boat ride reception. You are throwing your customers away to the resorts.. this should be more like the restaurant (downstairs) at Cranberry Cove... fun, family, casual, CLEAN! Since it was empty except for a couple of local grubbies, it can't be a hot night spot for the locals, either. It was very very sad."

"When the desk clerk saw that i walk with a crutch, he insisted on giving me a "handicap accessible" room on the first floor, very close to the lobby. While this was not necessary, it certainly was a thoughtful gesture!"
