Located along the St. Lawrence River in downtown Gananoque, The Gananoque Inn and Spa is suitable for travellers who require a hotel with meeting/banquet space, a free breakfast, on-site dining and a spa and wellness centre.

Each of this smoke-free hotel's air-conditioned guest rooms and suites offers free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a DVD player, a coffeemaker, a desk, a dining area, an iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Rooms with a fireplace, a jetted tub, a balcony, a wet bar and a mini-fridge are also available, as are two houses available for rent by room or in their entirety.

The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's location, staff, rooms and food.

The hotel's location was enjoyed by numerous guests. They described it as central, serene and peaceful, as well as close to the St. Lawrence River, Thousand Islands Playhouse, the beach, Gananoque Boat Line and golfing.

Many lodgers were pleased with the level of customer service they received during their stay. They characterized the staff as friendly, engaging, efficient, helpful and attentive.

Several reviewers praised their accommodations at the hotel. They found their rooms to be clean, updated, spacious and well equipped, with beautiful river views and comfortable beds and pillows. A few patrons criticized their accommodations, however (see below).

The hotel's Watermark Restaurant was the source of several compliments by travellers, who described it as excellent, magnificent and delicious. One guest remarked, "The menu selections for the Watermark Restaurant was varied & our choices were simply delicious. Our favourite appetizer was Chef Romeo's Clam Chowder...the best that we've had any where! The entrees were cooked to perfection & the dessert was sinfully wicked". A few guests did complain of slow kitchen service, however.
