The Good
Many guests enjoyed this motel-style property and used it as a summertime vacationing spot.

The rooms were well maintained, clean and updated. They had a homey feel to them with vaulted cedar ceilings and brick feature walls and they were spacious. Guests appreciated having drive-up access and a small outdoor area outside their rooms to sit in the evening. Some said the sheets and towels looked brand new.

There was a large outdoor pool on site that guests found inviting and refreshing. The grounds were sprawling with lots of trees and flowers and guests could have a game of tennis or basketball with family and friends.

Although there were good restaurants and a bakery in town, about a 20-minute walk away, guests also enjoyed the convenience of on-site breakfast and lunch at the hotel which was typically well liked.

The location was convenient to the highway, and guests could access the waterfront, town and nearby attractions within an easy drive or a healthy walk.

Guests appreciated the staff and found them genuinely friendly and helpful, and guests were usually quite pleased with the value of the hotel.

Wi-Fi received both positive and negative comments and averaged out to a good score in the surveys. A few guests had trouble with slow and unreliable Wi-Fi connections in the past, but the more recent reviews appeared to be more positive. One recent guest wrote, "The wifi was also the best hotel wifi I've experienced so far."

The Bad
Some guests offered their critique of the motel and its services.

Occasionally guests were assigned rooms that they felt needed better cleaning and some maintenance. Several found the decor dated and mentioned bathrooms and bedspreads. A few guests felt the rooms should have a microwave and bathroom exhaust fan. And some guests reported the presence of ants or spiders in their rooms.

Although many guests spoke favourably about the breakfast on site, a few guests missed having fresh fruit included with their bacon and eggs.

Although many found this motel very quiet with no traffic or car noise, very occasionally guests complained of hearing their neighbours TVs or conversations or being disturbed by the running sound of their AC unit and mini-fridge.
