The Travelodge Chatham hotel is located on the east side of Bloomfield Road in Chatham, Ontario between Park Avenue and Richmond Street (County Road 2). The hotel is about 4.4km away from both the rail station and the Links of Kent Golf Club. Access to Highway 401, which connects to Windsor in the west and Toronto in the east, is about 3.8km south of the hotel (driving distances - Google Maps).

Facilities at the pet friendly property include elevators, a business centre, a gift shop, laundry, and meeting rooms. The hotel offers free hot breakfast and free parking, including for large vehicles like buses, trucks, and RVs.

There are 103 guest rooms at the two story hotel with both smoking and non-smoking rooms. Many rooms have either two double beds or one queen bed although king beds are available in some suites.

On another occasion a guest who was at reception said he waited for "several minutes before a representative approached the desk" and then "the employee was far from friendly.” A more blunt reviewer offered his/her opinion on the staff and said that they "could use an attitude adjustment.”

The hotel also appeared to have some problems with a lack of cleanliness. Some guests indicated that their standards were not met and multiple patrons complained about their rooms being dirty.

"A great place to stay with at home feeling"

"All the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel and room are well maintained. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. They also have a microwave and fridge in the rooms now. The location is close to shopping and conveniences."

"The room was extremely comfortable however there was an extremely odd smell in my room that wouldn't disspate and the fan ran all night which was quite loud. The breakfast was quite enjoyable."
